Richard is so full of positivity and putting a smile on others faces. He is not the greedy, annoying, rude celebrity. He’s so grateful for his fans as my birth father was too.

Richard once reached out to me after my girlfriend, who was supposed to attend an event of his, passed away from a genetic heart condition at the age of 34. Richard is a gem, and legitimately one of the nicest humans on the planet. Absolutely love him.

I remembered this video after Richard passed away this week. Thank god KZbin algorithm made it appear again when I searched for his Leno, Letterman, and Stern appearances. What a guy true to himself. There are no more media shows or people around that are compatible with him. Society has changed too much. I know he was still calling and writing to people until about late 2022.

Madonna had a stalker who was set on killing her - she had to face him in court. Richard Simmons probably does not have fans/stalkers like that.

This guy is the real deal, a genuine human being that we should all aspire to be like. Many years ago my stepfather wrote to him asking him to call my mother on the phone to give her a little “motivation” to lose weight. He actually did, i know because I first answered the phone. He got no money, no credit or recognition for doing this and I’m sure he’s done the same for who knows how many other people. Thanks Richard Simmons!

He's got a AWESOME sense of humor too. His old Stern Show appearances were hysterical. He'd walk in unannounced singing at the top of his lungs, get everyone riled up, then leave suddenly "in tears". Then be back the following week and do the EXACT same thing. He's the best. ❤

I went on a cruise with this lovely man, and I promise he is exactly the same in person as he was on television. He talked to every person as long as they wanted. A kind soul! I remember being the last person in the auditorium and he came to me and spent time with me and just was beyond kind! Signed my album cover….his first sweating record! I loved him! ❤️🙏
