4 years ago I had never heard of de-transitionners. I assumed Trans was like gay, it just happens. Then I learned about the potential secondary impacts of social to medical transition procedures and was in shock. Then I noted the susceptibility of young gays and children/adults with ASD. Then I reflected on my own passage through pre and actual puberty as well as my own children. I found Stella and Sasha and listened to them quietly, fearful of being labelled terrible things... twice I listened to the GWL podcast seasons... and now, I am so grateful to be aware and thoughtfully approaching this issue. And it is sickening and unethical…conflating the cruel gay conversion practises with talk therapy for gender nonconforming youth who might just turn out gay later in life.

this was such an essential watch for me as a desisted female, i can draw so many comparisons between my experience with GAC even though my path started later at age 16. its so clear how homophobia and misogyny impacted our nascent identities. i felt so ostracized for being a weird GNC girl at my school, and doctors immediately reinforced that subhuman view of myself by presenting transition as a journey to wholeness. i wish the negative feelings we had towards our bodies could’ve been deconstructed in a compassionate way, but instead we were immediately pathologized. and as a desisted female i dont know what thats like on the other side, and it would be easy for me to see all trans identified males as autogynophilic if this information wasnt being shared. thank you Scarlet! and happy detrans awareness day 💚🦎🏁

I remember feeling very "squirmy" embarrassed maybe? during a time growth up if ppl would even kiss on TV. Kind of grossed out, attracted, and repused all at the same time... at exposure to a even a hint of sexuality that was so mild, not graphic at all. I also started being aware of innuendo IRL too. It was so uncomfortable especially if i felt someone was seeing me in that way. Maybe i was 10 or 11?? A long time ago :) I can't imagine how deeply affective the things kids are exposed to now are at these particularly vulnerable and formative periods in their development. We really need to stop allowing our children to be exposed to so much pervasive sexuality, especially in unrestricted environments like the internet 😔

Exposure to kissing between parents or healthy displays of affection between people in trusting committed relationships has an immensely positive impact. This is NOT what children are exposed to now. @joane248 ай бұрын
@@balalaika852 That's NOT what forgiveness is, at all. Forgiveness is deciding not to carry the burden on your shoulders that is carrying some else's (perpetrator's) fault. That's it. Forgiving is letting your own heart free. That doesn't mean you have to interact with them as if nothing happened. If they beg you for forgiveness, you may _considered_ thatvas a reconciliation but you don't have to, at all. The Comstock Act which was never repealed can be used to arrest people for things deemed "obscene" with local interpretations held up on appeal. Donald Trump says if reelected, there will be severe restriction to hormonal access for patients of any age. 6,000 laws proposed in state houses across the country. This is what happened in the early years under the Nazi's.

@@DorianPaige00why is everything about you? This person had a bad experience, they are as entitled to speak on it as you are about yours. And as for our facilities, again, why should 50% of the population have their rights to safety, privacy and dignity trampled because you want to be in their spaces? If you want to be in a women’s space for your safety and dignity, you should understand why we need the same. There are unisex facilities everywhere-use them. If you really understood how it feels to be the opposite sex you wouldn’t dream of being in their spaces.
@DorianPaige003 ай бұрын
@@Lollipop_Lexi We really don't know each other. I'm male and present as such (eunuch/adult boy) using male facilities but I've been castrated and use low dose estrogen to maintain my identity, skin, and bones. The only time I've ever used female facilities was to clean them when I was a porter at Target a decade ago. There a mess and haven't a clue why that's the new battleground. Sports teams should be free to choose who is on them and no transgender should strip down in multi use facilities. When applicable, trans should use single segregated stall. However I get the argument that when stalls are floor to ceiling and someone has a client, if they were to use to natal sex facility it may be a problem when they got out and the person's identity is now front and center instead of the business at hand. Clients are lost because of such situations. Before 2016, there used to be transgender folks who in the UK got gender recognition certificates and at that point used opposite sex facilities usually after a year or two of hormonal transitional. I warned transwomen of this because I'm an age-player and I know about opposition even when two males who are legal adults use gender medicine and present as a more youthful version of themself. Things like that don't play out well at best one is viewed at as not accepting their nature and at worst a pervert who needs to be accosted. I don't want to see the medicine banned. Initially it was my belief that pushing gay marriage and transgender rights to go into sex segregated spaces would make them more visible and the natural tendency of human nature is to shun things that would halt the reproduction of the species. It's an intuitive response. Furthermore everybody has become an experiment on reproductive care, gender medicine, vaccines, and SSRI's and what people think will ban these categories of drugs even though a majority of them are benefitting. If they were not, they would cease treatment. Detransitioners here in the US have been bankrolled to the tune of $250K/year and go from state to state getting the medicine banned citing how they were harmed. There is no opposition allowed to speak and bills are set forth and in several states where adult gender medicine is now illegal and a thing of the past. The next step is forced institutionalization and a lawsuit to pay for the stay. Shall we then debate about what to do about transgender and gay people if they become to costly to house? The Overton Window gets moved everyday and not that many need this medicine but it'll spill back over into birth control since abortion rights are all but gone in most areas. Jordan Peterson is already citing medical harm and the people and infrastructure and already making the same arguments against birth control that they did against gender affirming care. No it's not about me; it's about you. I'll be institutionalized, enslaved, or executed if conservatives gain power. The real prize worth fighting for is the women. They'll tell you which professions you may or may not enter and how many kids you will have. Good luck!

@DorianPaige008 ай бұрын
No, it's different. Did you not want breasts? Did you want a cock, balls, and a hairy chest. I'm a eunuch like scarlet and neither of us wanted the harsh secondary sex characteristics of manhood. I starved my male puberty out and then got castrated and went on low dose estrogen. We didn't want to grow up physically. It's one of the rarer gender patients and we have to typically do I dance to get treated since we don't really tick the boxes. Most of us end up dead or in prison because without protein restriction or hormones we have to surrender our gift. It's the "male cherry." I only know a handful like this who were initially precocious and didn't like it and sought to alter their path. There's other implications and few talk about it.

It seems these kids/young people have no sense of self. They feel so unworthy and unimportant that they dont even know what to think of themselves?? I was a teen in mid 90s but would i have been trans? I say no to that question now, but im 45. My 45 brain is not the same as my 14 yr old brain. I hated my body, felt like i was looking in on everyone, didnt feel real, felt worthless and felt like no one gave a crap about me. Didnt really have close friends. Im not autistic but have some traits. Now, im okay with my body, but i still dont feel like im not in the world, not real. I cant look in the mirror or at pics of myself. It took me 42 years to finally feel like im worthy and deserve love, too. Im doing better than i was. Anyway, i was emotionally neglected most of my childhood and teen years. I was physically neglected for several years when i wad 5,6,7. My parents were nice. My mom became a stay at home mom when I was 8. She was always there with me, but not emotionally. I did my own thing or hid in my room. They were never emotionally or physically abusive (my maternal grandmother was emotionally abusive to all her grandkids). They were teen parents and didn't know how to raise kids. I dont blame them, and they did the best they could. But i wonder if parents not emotionally being there for their kids might be one of these reasons? Not like the parents are purposely doing it. But all the time we're on our phones and getting distracted. Being ignored really hurts. It really bothers me when im talking to someone, and they're looking at their phone. I feel they're not engaged in the conversation. Also, kids not having as much independence and space. Not learning things out for themselves. What they should and shouldn't be doing. Im curious if those are some of the reasons. And of course it being a trend and online peer pressure saying how great they'll feel if they change. I had a ED and thought when i got skinny enough, I'd feel better. NOPE! It made me feel worse. But it makes me really wonder what's going through their minds. They need strong, supportive parents who'll be there for them, but also push them towards independence. I was terrified to do anything when i was a teen. My parents forced me to learn to drive and get a job, not for money, but for life experience. Im so glad they did because id probably still be at home terrified to do anything. Im still scared to try new things, but I'll push myself to do them.

This one was more of a traditional eunuch who didn't want to grow up. We'll see how this one plays out. He's letting his gift go right through his hands. It'll be interesting if he wants it back. Most of these don't talk and either are dead or in jail. He hasn't yet dated so it doesn't look good for this one as I know exactly what he is dealing with. Never, ever, ever surrender your gift to nature. And never, ever go to people who go to legislators who will regulate hormones and transition for the rest of us. You just wanted to be skinny; we didn't want to grow up! NGU!

It's notable how often we hear doctors describe "female sexuality and desire" as being less strong than "male sexuality and desire". That was devastating to watch. I wish the best for Scarlet and I can’t believe what he and his mother were put through. Like Sasha, I just wanted to hug him by the end. No one can become their “authentic self” by having their puberty denied and natural hormones tinkered with. It’s even more enraging that this is being done to sensitive, vulnerable gender non conforming kids too. Deep down these “professionals” always thought there was something wrong with this man because he was a feminine, neurodivergent, “soft” kid. What is this if not gay conversion therapy in sheep’s clothing?

@@DorianPaige00 That's not true I belive there are genuine cases of gender dysphoria that benefit from transition, But do you have an opinion on this "social contagion " and online grooming of minors ???
@DorianPaige00Ай бұрын
@@lukebexnjesssmummy611 I can't speak for online grooming as I don't talk to minors online or in life. I'm a homosexual hebephile who finds those youthful traits in adults and gender medicine is a component of that in my group (castration, low dose estrogen). After the election, I want to push that argument into the vernacular as it's given me an adult community to be a part of as it's better than living my life alone. I expect extreme pushback as only about 2% of men ever wanted to be women but 18% of men feel they've had too much masculinization and wish for younger days (prior Tanner stage). I've gotten an extension of youth and it doesn't sit well with many and I'm not an offender nor do I collect. Social contagion is a funny thing because if one didn't hear about it, one wouldn't know about it. In the days of Columbus, was sailing to the new world that century's version of social contagion? Were people convinced not to fight in their own country and flee at the begrudging of leaders? That's something to be explored as I'm sure their kings needed muscle to secure and expand the kingdom! There always will be a core faction and then others that feel it may be right for them. Couple that with insurance paying for everything since gender medicine can now be considered part of human rights and you are half way there. When there are all inclusive facilities that have every specialty and a floor delineated for each with only the option of counseling, there might be a few more people who would have gotten weeded out. Psychologists used to go over multi-personality disorder, trauma, and general psychotherapy for at least a 12 sessions. This isn't something one should be rushed into and regret/poor results can not be discounted. Informed consent is informed and WPATH at one point said that one should have at least a dozen sessions and I think a complication list and videos of regretters should be at the ready. In Australia, family court got involved in any case where there was a minor as they wanted to prevent a parent who wanted a boy instead of a girl from not looking at the child's best interest. Same could be said about the doctor as some only make money if you accept their service. My mother had a surgeon give us the benefits of a less invasive remedy which he recommended but she took the surgery because she wanted the cancer eradicated. I thought that was an enormous amount of ethics that the surgeon showed and I hope they do this for gender medicine but I'm not a bug the wall of every gender clinic. About 2.5 years ago, I became critical but after hearing Stella say that everyone who started needs to come off their hormonal regimen until late 20's, I gave up on Genspect. They gave Oli London and AGP the spotlight which further muddied the waters for transgenders. Erin Friday who is no friend of mine even said, it's a disgrace and disservice for males who have gender identity issues to be labeled as AGP meat beaters by gender criticals. It seems that if one can lie and embellish to get their way, they'll do it to put the argument permanently to bed and to ban the medicine. That's the spirit I get from Stella who fears she may have opted out of femaleness and been a secondary transitioner who did it more for social benefit instead of hatred of body. I had the visceral hatred of manhood but rather enjoyed boyhood. In my DNA, I was borderline precocious and that led into questioning but I knew the summer I was 12 I would curtail my height growth secretly with caloric and protein restriction as I didn't want manhood to be the end result. Two years later I heard of a suicide because of this exact issue and the answer was people come in all packages which would not work for me. When I walked into high school and saw the aggression from an older cohort, I knew I made the right call. With the then Gulf War looming, I knew they wanted to groom an active participant and that ability to make war through anger and muscle comes from the male puberty as that's why we never have peace for very long; it's baked in the puberty. I live near West Point and annual scholastic pilgrimages there had quite an effect on me but I'm glad I was exposed to it.

One can't imagine a more perfect case of misinformed consent. Not only is the patient badly informed but the pleas for information by son and mother are not only resisted by the clinicians but disapproved by the clinicians as resistance and denial. This also seems to be a case of gender confusion, not so much a clear wish to transition which would have benefited from talk, which in the end may have led to Scarlet appreciating that getting used to being a gay man leads to a lot safer and happier life than messing up his pituitary. By the way shouldn't a standard piece of informed consent to medical transition be that it reduces the dating pool dramatically as Scarlet discovered too late? Scarlet has done a good job of making peace with his flawed gender journey. Acceptance is important, but, he might benefit from a dose of anger. Scarlet is courageous to "add his story to the conversation" and allow clowns like me to opine on it. Where are the equally courageous lawyers?

His lack of mentioning dating and what men he is attracted to makes me think, he's in trouble. If he lets himself go past the point of no return, he'll have issues so bad and have no way to connect.
