The body is a complex construct. I've been battling stress, high blood pressure and been expermenting with diets most of my life and has come to the same conclusion as yourself about the latter. People shouldn't ask others for what to eat. Everybody must dare to experiment themselves. A few years back I took some kind of a food test and the general takeaway was that I'm over sensitive to a lot of carbs. I also had IBS they said, because I don't feel good from fiber. For the last two years I've been doing 16-20 hour intermittent fasting, mostly with LCHF. Haven't lost any weight though, even if there is quite a good margin for doing that. Other diagnoses are linked to that inablitiy. On breathing. After learning that my chronic stress disorder makes my body having trouble relaxing even when I'm relaxed, I learned that it has trouble going into the parasympathetic level. I was either stressed or hyperstressed. After testing I learned how to break stress reactions by inhaling at a normal rate and then breathing out veeeery slowly. Both ways through the nose. If I'm agitated, the long exhale makes the body happy and I feel emotions of exhilaration. I wonder if there is a connection there: exhale - exhilaration.... Supplements like B3, B5 (a recent game changer) and inositol helps to alleviate anxiety and depressive states. About salt. People eating processed food will have problems because there's so much added sugar and salt, but I've been quite strict about buying raw stuff to cook myself, so I'm in charge of the salt added. During the last days now, we have realised that we might even be on the deficiency side for sodium. Brain fog is something I have quite a lot. Chronic stress reaction, I thought. Adding a little more salt (sea salt or himalayan, but not industrial table salt) is making my mind clearer. We have been taught by the industry that salt is merely sodium chloride, but there is a wide range of different salts and we need quite a few of them for optimal health.

Adam, thank you very much for putting this program, very important subject for HBP. I liked very much everything, but what I learned from you and added to what already did...is that tool for exercising to lower the bp, besides the breathing (2 different styles in yr program, thank you!), walking in the sand (wow!), then "tranquility now" for stress, thank you; then fish oil, good for everything...then to see what food is making you feel good, bravos, thank you...I use more a combination...not very heavy in meat though...I do the intermittent diet, and feel great, I lost 20 lbs...I do walking almost every day, some aerobics, too; sometimes, I go to swim, and I sometimes walk to the beach but I will know to take my shoes off from now on. I definitely used no salt but I learned that my body was craving salt...and added a bit to it, and think it helped. And MG, wow, I take 2ce per day, as I am deficient in this, and I feel that I changed a lot by re-evaluating how much to take...everything I did in my own, being my best doctor, even the doctors ask me what I do... Thank you again, and waiting your future notifications. HEalth and Success to you Adam! God bless you! Adam, I really appreciate your program

For me, the diet I used to lose weight easily was cut my carbs down (cut out breads, tortillas, bagels,), I ate high fat and high protein foods and lots of veggies. I also ate 1700 calories a day. If I was hungry I would just eat more veggies like broccoli and spinach and my hunger would go away.

Thank you for sharing. I started following the programme a few days ago but I know it may take several weeks before I see good results. My question is this. What are patients supposed to do in the meantime? Should we take tablets to drop our blood pressure while actively working on diet, cardio exercise, reducing stress levels, isometric and breathing exercises? Once we start taking tablets, how would we know our alternative remedies are working and can we then stop taking tablets? Thanks again.

Why not have a video on the correct way to measure BP. Talking raises BP. A full bladder raises BP. Not sitting quietly for 5 minutes, with feet flat on the floor, raises BP. Improper cuff size & location. Measurement device, whether digital or analogue, not at the level of the heart, gives an altered reading. Recording BP when measurement is performed incorrectly, to diagnose a BP problem, without repeated measurements, is poor medicine and borders on malpractice.
