You have inspired me..... I have always disregarded the 1g bars as a novelty, or an item to give as a gift. Going back and doing some research, the premiums are not as extreme as I anticipated. Because of your last video, i bought a couple carded gram-weighted bars. I'll show them off when they arrive and link this video as the inspiration. :-) Watching other people's stacking strategies and imitating them, can make the stacking journey more fun. 🙂

I purchase 1 Gram gold bars and rounds from different companies just for diversity until I make an ounce. Then I will work on 1.5 gram gold until I have an ounce, the 2 gram, then 2.5 gram, then 5 gram so on and so on, I really prefer the 2,5 gram size! I also will do 1/10th ounce and 1/4 ounce sizes THEN the 1/2 ounce size, Yes, the amount of cash that has to be laid out at ONE TIME makes a big difference to most people, premiums be damned! My goal is to have 1 ounce of all sizes that are not in my precious metals IRA!

Beautiful collection. Gold is gold they’re beautiful no matter what size they’re in. Yes you pay more premium for 1g bars but at the same time they’re more liquid and easier to sell later on so that evens it out 🙌🏾

1.5 gram gold is even more rare and therefore the best option for investment. As you stated, only the Republic of Congo is currently producing them, but wow they are nice.

I love the Perth gold bars I have a 1g and a 10g in the mint card just like the one you showed! After that I started getting gold eagles but still love the Perth bars. Crazy apples 🍎

I’m more of a coin collector than a stacker. However, I purchase the occasional gram of gold from time to time. I recently picked up a pair of 80’s vintage 1gm Englehard gold bars in original stapled assay cards, unfortunately they had a hell of a premium but being Englehard, I’m sure I’ll make that back in time.

I apologize in advance for the long message, but maybe you would be willing to educate us “newbies” out here…. Been looking into investing in small 1 gram Gold Bars, these are found from Bullion online stores ranging from $ 80 to $ 85 before shipping or taxes; so if my appreciation is correct, one would need 32 bars to complete a full OZ, correct?…. This would translate to $ 2,560 to $ 2,975 for its equivalent in 1 gram bars, a premium of $ 560 to $ 975??? How many decades would take for a small stacker to break even on this investment?, am I missing the full picture here? Thank you for all your videos about this topic, we need more people like you for guidance

What's your take on this: I really appreciate these bars for their fantastic price point. Even when you compare their cost per gram to a sovereign today, they still seem like a better value. However, considering that sovereigns are exempt from capital gains tax, what do you think makes a smarter investment choice - a sovereign or these 1g bars?

Bars in the uk attract cgt , as the cgt allowance is being erroded at an alarming rate even if it doesn't effect you now it soon will. I find 1g too small to see the designs properly so although i have a few 5g and 10g bars in my collection. In my stack bars are a definate no no .

Yeah I'm with you. We get stung on VAT on silver and like you say they're halving Capital gains again. I'm thinking they're going to erode it to zero in time for Brit coin. Then every token you receive will have to be accounted for!

Well because the 1.5 gram bars aren't in high demand, they have far lower premiums. Keeping costs low is important.

28.35 of them at the current price which is 1 ounce would cost $2500. US that being said, I’ve got a bunch of 1/10th. Small denominations are smart but a bit more expensive but who cares just be patient.

Great video, 365. Yeah, the 1.5g bars sound better. !/4 oz gold is king, and I think the 1/10 oz and 5g come next. I'm not really interested in 1 oz gold compared to fractional. But, I think you're also right about the 1g gold, and it may be that 1/10 will rise in popularity too as the gold price rises in the years ahead. I also did a comparison with the 20 x 1g combi and 50 x 1g combi which reduces the premium/g a lot. I certainly see fractional gold as more than 'entry-level' for generational wealth storage.

While you are entitled to your opinion, I won't touch anything other than Britannias and Sovereigns. 1/4 Oz and smaller have silly high premimus. If you can afford a 1/4 Oz you can afford a half sovereign.

The current US dollar is backed by oil supposedly.. yet america is now importing alot if it's oil and producing none. US debt just hit 34 trillion dollars, that's 102,000 dollars of debt per US citizen to pay that off.. no gold can be at a loss only if your government claims it..
