i am currently immortal 2, and that is my peak, but I am diamond on kovaaks and I am struggling on improving. I agree with your statement and I feel like you can easily improve once you focus on the other things, because right now I have no idea what I am doing wrong with my mechanics. I know for a fact that my micro adjustments are lacking but I havent seen much improvement even after training. Your aim on dms are way cleaner than mine so I think your good raw aim wise.
@LailorGG20 күн бұрын
As someone that’s aim trained for awhile, when I see people struggling with micro adjustments they’re either rushing the adjustment itself or have way too much tension on the mouse. I found it helpful to treat my mouse as an egg I don’t want to break

Im in a similar situation as you, I have 1000+ hours on valorant and I have only about 100+ in aimlabs but what has helped me improve is shortening my sessions and just playing consistently all the time, for example I only do 30 minute sessions on aimlabs everyday and two comp games thats alone is enough to take you up to immortal possibly rad just keep it consistent and play more when you can

Something I've learned with these guides and higher rank players is that since I'm in low elo, I should train my fundamentals in raw aim and mouse control, with tracking, clicking and flicking tasks with a little bit of micros. As time goes by, I focus more on micros and less on raw aim

You missed 1 point on ineffective aim training reasons: Proper technique to play each scenario. Also, i agree with you that raw aim is still important and shouldnt be ignored. Because even if we have good xhair placement our raw aim might be shaky or we have poor accuracy or click timing is bad or microadjusting is bad all of which still result in us losing the gunfight and all of these issues can be fixed with aimtraining only. One more thing is that if we only rely on passive aim we might get good in tacfps shooter games like CS or valorant but this wouldnt transalate to other competetive games which use completely different set of mechanics. If we wish to be a consistent high level player among all fps games aim training is a must.

I have invested my 1st 100h in the past 8 months roughly and my experience is very varied. It has helped me both be consistent but also be able to pull back rounds However its very easy to train ineffectively or even incorporate really bad aimming habbits that genuiely sent me from d1-> low gold. ( snappiness & high tension) mentally i couldnt understand it as i was hitting large flicks way more consistently. Able to do well in DM against Immortals & radiants but moment in game i would mid frag. My most recent aim venture has been focus on microing and high accuracy scores , focusing on good fundamentals instead of score farming. And its been very effective in ranking back up. Sat at 912 tracker score across 30+ games (last checked)

Were seeing similar breakthroughs in competition shooting and marksmanship. Not necessarily when it comes to using a virtual trainer but the approach to achieving high performance. Right now vision driven speed and precision over bio-mechanics isn ‘the meta’. I just started doing an experiment with aim trainers to train vision and focus at speed, particularly in tempos much faster than what is required from the most difficult courses of fire. Ive got less then 7 hours and on aim training and on the grid game (which ive spend 3 on total) I managed to get to 73k, and I have clear path as to how I can reach 120k-140k very soon just by maintaining tempo but increasing accuracy. I’m not interested in any of the games the trainer is for but it’s interesting watching videos of high performance play and I’m taking every opportunity to analyze how vision is executed at speed with precision. I’ll see how that translates to ‘irl’ but in my little time spend a lot of drills are starting to feel like im seeing it in slow motion even though I’m hammering speed with a sense of urgency. Im probably the only person taking this approach in my space so I’m curious as to how this will end up.

One thing I have to add to the ineffective aim section: The first thing you have to do before pushing for highscores is to analyze your technique and become aware of your bad habits. Then you have to train the correct technique for every area and put conscious effort into avoiding your bad habits and training the correct ones. Only after the correct technique is subconscious you can push for scores. If you push for scores with bad technique you will hit roadblocks down the line that will by then have made you waste a lot of time as many of the hours spent training an incorrect technique are useless since you will need to train the correct technique and build up again after having spent a lot of time on the wrong technique. Another thing I have to add to the downplaying of raw aim part: I think it is a major misconception in the valorant community to say that crosshair placement is kind of like a substitute for aim, because I think your crosshair placement has everything to do with your aim. RoyalG explains this in his video "Your Idea of Crosshair Placement Is Wrong", and I find his insights to be incredibly accurate.

what i found from talking to good aimers and coaches is going for high scores isnt always the best approach. when playing static for example, playing with incorrect technique might yield better scored, but hurts your scores in the long run. going back to basics and actually using the proper technique (bard0z method) is better. it will decrease your scores in the short term but yield better scores in the long run. same with working on smoothness. going for 20cm/360 doesnt get you better scores, but works towards better raw smoothness and therefore better scores on a "normal" sens good video overall tho. Keep it up :)

Agree with the ineffective aim training, it's very prominent. Mouse control is important and that's what aim trainers emphasise on. Tho, In game you must depend on intuition (experience/knowledge + practice/aim) and not just raw aim like you said at the last portion of your video. I also think playing the game and VOD reviewing and questioning your plays is far more beneficial than aim training. BTW do look up Miyagi aim training method it's goated fr.

As a Diamond 1 with nearly 300 combined hours in Aimtraining, I feel the need to emphasize that the lower you are, the more aimtraining will help, bcs your opponents also will be slower. It still is more important to imprive pre-aim, use a sheriff in Deathmatches. Even on a higher level, good mouse conzrol is key to not only being decent but better than others. Not o ly for the situation where an opponent is in a unexpected situation but also for multikills when you kill someone and his mates want to trade. Tho good raw aim, especially clicktiming will also help with holding and peeking angles, it helps you recognize when you're ontarget and can click to get the kill
@oo-jn7ee7 күн бұрын
that is simply not true. at any elo, playing smart valorant will win you rounds/games. an over-reliance on aim will hinder ur long-term performances and result in inconsistency in your gameplay. though i can see why u feel aiming is important cause typically in low-elo like gold-dia, many players don't play "smart" or just textbook in general
@santapig7 күн бұрын
@oo-jn7ee So you dont disagree with anything Ive said, I was talking about gunfights specifically, not gamesense or strategies, simply bcs thats the topic of the video. If anything it proves my point that aimtraining is more benefitial in lower Elo

Aimtraining only works if you actually want to get better and aim train regularly, it however does not work if you just chore through a playlist without trying to get better. It's different to warmup with a playlist and to get better with a playlist. One gets you warm, the other pushes your aim

Anything more at that point you likely should consider a coach to work out your minor details that need correcting.

I think this might sound controversial, in my opinion the more diverse games you play the better your aim will be and faster you will adapt, if you notice most valorant pro are hitting radiant from act 1 because they have 10k hours on other games and their mouse control has imprinted on their brain. I belive none of valorant pros have less than 5k total hours combined.
@kbro44833 ай бұрын
Overall well put together video man, just wanted to ask though, wouldn't it be more appropriate for the regular players u make videos for to instead of looking at a pro game, watch a ranked VOD where situations involving raw aim come up? Tier 1 pro is a much more controlled environment where teams will punish taking raw aim duels due to their coordination which you wouldn't find in ranked. It's also much harder to compare tier 1 pro players raw aim to regular players as the difference of ranked players to other ranked player raw aim would be way more noticeable compared to a pro vs another pro's raw aim who are both within the highest extremes of aim and any pro can outaim another one, maybe a follow up video with more in depth look at the topic would help? All the other analysis seems great though, keep up with the quality over quantity content :)

idk but i think i disagree about the video. i started playing valorant competitively at august 2023 - now (november 2024). i used to do aimlabs playlist before i play and the outcomes was it makes me immortal in less than a year which my friends that spent their time playing from the earlier episode is far left behind at silver and gold. so the conclussion is i think consistency is key, either its a deathmatch and range session or just straight jump to valorant competitive but with consistency, you'll ended up where you were dreaming to be. So in the other words, everyone has their journey and there are millions of ways to become better.

I don't agree that you should push for a high score in every session. Aim trainers are meant for practice, and pushing for a high score every time is like going to the gym and attempting a one-rep max during every workout. In aim training, your primary focus should be on eliminating mistakes. While checking your progress from time to time is fine, the most important aspect should be improving your technique and correcting mistakes.
@putent9623Ай бұрын
That's a dumb comparison my man. One rep max is something that's like 15 to 30 seconds max. Getting a high session can take minutes. Minutes of you locked in and instinctively correcting your aim so you can get a better score. It's more like training to failure every set than one rep maxxing.
@koreyVAL7 күн бұрын
i mean i guess you're right it's not for everyone, but when you corrected ur technique the only thing left is to push for a highscore (where correcting technique will help you achieve that) if that makes sense ofc you might not get a highscore but its v important to try to go for it
