TLR 22 5.0 seems as tough as any other brands. Run a b6.2 myself but have ran/built 22 5.0 dc and elites in the past.

Old video, I know. My reaction to the design choice of the lower shock mount was the exact opposite when I got my 22x-4. So simple, but pure genius. I love that I need only one tool to remove the rear shock. If you want to change geometry, just remove the set screw. In both scenarios wrenching on the lower shock mount feels much more secure and ergonomic than a 2mm hex of a m3 button head screw with the chassis blocking your access. Between this and the Schumacher ball cup solution theres no way I´d go back to the "industry standard" with button head screws for lower and upper shock mounts

Hi Roach i did yes. Cant believe you remember..I got a B6.2 extremely happy with it.. easy to drive..fast and very durable lol. Drove my 1st ever RC race 2 weeks ago.. if you'd like to see they posted a video of the race just yesterday.. made B mains but made a lot of mistakes and still have a lot to learn.

Wow, so you already covered 2WD buggys from Associated, Schumacher and now TLR? Dang and I thought Razor RC had a quick turnaround on car reviews. Which one's next? The safe choice of Xray, the slightly more exotic Yokomo or are you going to throw us a curveball with a PR Racing or something like that? Either way, can't wait for the next video.

Just found the channel, I'm going to try and make it out to ajc this weekend. I just built an rb7ss and am spraying the body now. You're welcome to give it a go and review it, I could always use someone else's opinion on tuning it anyways, I'm trying to get back into racing. The last car I ran was a losi xxxcr on clay about 10-15 years ago lol

@@RoachRC I ended up finding a used 5.0 ac and completely rebuilding it, and falling in love with it . Then I got another one. Now currently looking for a third. Lol ... I run 17.5 open and 21.5 fixed timing. I want a third one so I can run the 21.5 open class. It's a great little buggy. The lack of a quick change diff don't bother me much. But I hope the rumors about a new 2wd buggy on the way turn out to be true. If I get tired of waiting I might do a full vision +4mm chassis with 22x4 rear arms. Thanks again

@@RoachRC yeah I’m gonna have my chassis built this weekend for the 6.3. That will be my starter class car until I decide to move up. I actually stumbled upon somebody selling a crazy TLR 22 5.0 Elite complete lot with a controller and a boat load of parts/tires for 800. I think I’m gonna pull the trigger if it’s not bought up in a couple weeks since I’m gonna piece my TA. Might get it for a backup and the Sanwa it has with it. It’s an insane deal.

Should I get the b6.3 or the 5.0 I’m specifically racing on carpet for this buggy I run TLR and my brother runs associated on dirt oval with street stock but off-road is a whole another league and idk which I should get I’m leaning towards TLR
@RoachRC3 жыл бұрын
If you already run tlr for oval I'd go with the 5.0. Be forewarned though as the 5.0 can be a bit difficult to work on sometimes, especially when it comes to the differential. I will say though that on black and grey carpet, Team Associated have consistently placed top spots at a national level. Take of that what you will
