My oily hair has managed to balance out, after years of trying, with Alaffia black soap. I was twice a week. My hair is thinner, due to hypothyroid but black soap is helping it recover. Along with oiling my scalp the day before wash day

Try an egg! It really helps with oiliness. I swear. I coated my head in coconut oil and tea tree recently after a lice scare and just one wash with an egg got all the oil out. It's amazing and so cheap and zero waste. I just put it in a shot glass and beat it with a couple tablespoons of water and some rosemary oil just because I love rosemary. Just don't rinse with hot water cause it will cook it into your hair a bit. But it really works so well and leaves hair feeling super clean.

Have you tried teatree oil or Rosemary oil? They regulate your sebum production.. You can pur them into your shampoo:) ever since using them my Hair doesnt get greasy at All, and it's the best to treat dandruff!! (also peppermint oil :)

I use rose oil shampoo. I add honey and ginger to it. Rose oil dries my hair out. But it makes soft and shiny and strong. The honey helps keeps it from being dry and it makes it really soft and strong. The ginger keeps the scalp from being dry and itchy. It stimulates hair growth and keeps it healthy and strong. My hair grew 12 inches in 6 1/2 months. I'm letting my hair grew out all natural and no more hair color. I really love your hair and you are very beautiful. My name is Wild Eagle (Kiyaki).

I ordered these products and hoping that my hair gets better soon! I’m indigenous (Mexico) and white (Irish, Spanish). I never realized my hair wasn’t what I thought it was in terms of thinness. I assumed I had thinner hair. I compared a strand of my hair to my partner’s who is Jewish and has European ancestry. My hair strand was like 5x thicker and harder to break. I feel like I’ve been taking care of my hair incorrectly this entire time. My hair is usually frizzy and dry feeling. My hair goes down to my waist right now. I just used Sister Sky products that arrived yesterday and they’re amazing! Oh my gosh the smell is lovely and my hair feels much silkier. I can still smell the Sweetgrass scent and I washed my hair yesterday. I never want to go back to what I was using before. Thanks for sharing your hair care routine! I’m excited to try it out too. I think for me I’ll have to gradually reduce washing my hair since I was washing it before daily. 😅😂

I’m half Cherokee Native American. My hair is ab 32” long now, and pretty thick. I’ve only trimmed it once in 6 years and my hair has been so healthy and strong the whole time. You can definitely train your hair to not need many products or tending to. I have wanted to try and pay a bit more attention to my hair though, but I’m very much not the kind of person to spend hours on haircare routines. I’ve been looking everywhere for minimalist routines, and this one really stood out to me. Thank you

genetically this is what your hair is supposed to do, no you cannot train your hair to do anything but grow utilizing certain products like oil or leave in conditioner, the training happened when you were born with those genetics, for those who are reading this do not take advice from Asians(including Indian) or Native american hair care routines, they can do literally nothing and it will grow because of the genetic profile of their hair makes it strong, silky appearing and long naturally and easily, unless it is down to your knees, its not special, you can grow it without doing anything (Source: Science and Me: an Asian, Native, White guy with long hair)

Now you have to spend a few more minutes scrubbing but i have soaked my hair in oils like olive, grapeseed, sunflower, avacado, and almond oils mix them together and put it all over my hair and wash it with just water and theres been no residew left over at all. Because the only oil thats coming off my hair is the oils that the hair didnt soak up. Ive even done henna in my hair and rinced out the clay and still nothing left over it came out just fine with only water. So i doubt ill use any kind of shampoo or conditioner again because the oils a natrual conditioner and so is the henna.

I use an egg every couple weeks to wash and spray with a homemade green tea, rosemary and carrot seed essential oil moisturizing spray every other day or so and brush once a day with a boar bristle brush. I have always had a minimal haircare routine but about a month back I added in a bi-weekly hair tea mix of hibiscus flower (Rosea) & stinging nettle. Let me say, with that addition alone my hair gets INCREDIBLY soft (...of course I drink it too ❤️) I give total credit to a Cherokee woman who uses stinging nettle tea for her hair and also a Jamaican woman who uses the hibiscus (Rosea) tea for hers. I thought I’d mix the two since I had both on hand and it has become a permanent part of my routine at this point! I’ve even used it on my neice (who has thicker hair texture than mine) and her hair has become massively softer too! By the way, your accent is incredibly adorable. I can’t seem to make out what part of the U.S. it originates but just know I love it!!!

WHY DON'T THEY GIVE US BLACK PEOPLE THAT HAVE LONG HAIR JUST LIKE THE ASIAN TYPE OF NATIVE AMERICANS AS WELL. This isn't going to be a history lesson. But I would like people to start acknowledging us as well. There is one woman online now on KZbin her name is called 22nd century natural. There are black native Americans only because they were kept with native Americans. Black people are not indigenous to the Americas, im sorry but they are not. Black natives are valid because they are connected to the culture but race wise they are not Native American, they are black. Those are the facts
