oh i cant wait for my 1983 f150 with the grand daddy of 'em all; the 1986 6.9L IDI. fully custom build; i put a 1983 f150 xlt body and box on a 1986 f250 4x4 frame. once it's done it will be the only '83 3/4 tonne f150 diesel out there!

@@randyfonda3273 haha whoa, who peed in your corn flakes? just talking ford stuff here.. i say it's the granddaddy of em all because in short: it's where the powerstroke came from; the 7.3 IDI is just the 6.9 IDI bored out. then came the 7.3 powerstroke in the 90's and thus the beginning of the powerstroke. no its not going to be a drag car, its a 4x4 farm truck. it will go everywhere i'll be taking it, and honestly still quicker than most people are comfortable drive. Mud holes to mountain tops. and i honestly dont see many bullnose around where i live, and even very few bricknose. lots of 90's and newer. plus matching all my specifications, there are very few exact trucks like mine; had to swap frames to get mine. pretty sure Colorados come with little Cummins from the factory. and i know newer f150s come with little power strokes from the factory.... they didn't offer the 6.9 in an f150 in 1983, nor did they put 3/4 tonne frame under any of their f150 bodies. besides before I pulled the rotting '86 body it did a real burnout lol. and we got it started in a field on diesel and gasoline. can you do that with your powerstroke? haha. my IDI tractor will out live your little powerstroke, sorry to say.
