I appreciate the innovation you had. So many people focus on the "look" of the rig, which is nice if budget is unlimited. But the point of camping is getting out and connecting with nature. This setup allows you to do that and its a clean setup! I'm inspired. Thank you!

Nice video. I like the way you find simple solutions for challenges. We have an F150 with a RTT as well. Something to think about... remove that big back seat. Gained a TON of space by removing ours. We left the small seat in "Just in case".

Since I have not taken out the fridge slide since it went in, I am really considering removing he 60%. Probably this fall.

Awesome setup - we have a F150 also and are trying to figure out what to do in the backseat that will work well for us without removing the back seat. We love the door pockets in ours too - great place to stash smaller stuff. We recently switched from a rooftop tent to a teardrop trailer, but still find we need to use the backseat for storage too.

If you still have the truck. Look into getting the Sync Upgrade to a larger ford radio. It will give you Android Auto / CarPlay with a large screen and won’t need the tablet. I upgraded my Non-Nav MyFordTouch Sync 2 8” to the Sync3 8” with nav and wireless CarPlay. Thing is awesome. I know they have kits out there for 4” to 8” upgrades. Would make less clutter upfront and look nicer. They can be pricy though.

You should get rid of all bungee cords. One can snap, fling around and break a window. I know someone this happened too. Great video btw 👍

Thanks, I am setup quite differently now, more lashing straps, less bungee. Video soon.

Where did you get the rack system for your roof top tent. That looks like it would work great for my Frontier.
@richardcarnahan63353 жыл бұрын
Hi buddy, does this person have anymore of the rack systems available. I would definitely buy one. Thanks.

Brands that might have a rack for a frontier: KBVoodoo, RCI, Thule, and maybe find something at Mule Expedition Outfitters.

Nice build, what tablet and software are you using for navigation?

I made changes around the end of last year. I found a great deal on an Samsung S6 Lite with and old tablet trade in and I also switched from Back Country Navigator to GAIA and have been pretty happy about both.

@@ThriftyOverlander that sounds disgusting and sad. I don't understand why people don't care, it really upsets me. But thanks again for picking up!
