One of the project editors here, Before RT had done the greenscreen filming I knew little to nothing about editing, and certainly never expressed myself creatively in such a public setting. I’m so grateful I took this opportunity, because I got to push myself out of my comfort zone and make something I’m proud of. In fact I’ve enjoyed editing so much with this and other projects that it’s a skill I listed on my college applications! Whether this group keeps working together or not, we are all so happy that RT and all of you enjoyed it.

Fun fact section (spoilers ahead): 1. In the ? Video, there is a scene where both a woodchipper and the Stanley parable narrator appear. This might seem random as there is nothing related to those in the collab. But this is a reference to the 2 scrapped routes of the collab, the Stanley Parable and the Woodchipper route! 2. The “2:00” timer is actually the total runtime of all the videos we made for the collab. Dan finishing at nearly the same time was a coincidence! 3. The Route Dan played the least off during the stream (the doctor who route) is the SINGLE LONGEST ROUTE in the entire cyoa, clocking in around a fourth of the run time. 4. In the IBR video, the players in the game were the ones who actually did the voice acting! It is now settling in that I basically did a voice reveal in front of thousands 😅

That game is so god damn niche I've only seen one physical copy of it at a con some time ago, this game is brilliant and I reccomend playing it if you like difficult RPGs with fun and creative combat systems cause WOW is it good.

I hate learning that Chooseco has recently decided to retroactively abuse the CYOA trademarking to target literally anything within the CYOA genre, especially because they *definetly* didn’t invent the f*cking concept of split narratives. Like, you see them taking Markiplier out for having a split narrative, but you don’t see them taking out things like The Stanely Parable or f*cking Undertale, which are decisively more decision-driven. Like, imagine if whoever came up with the first jigsaw puzzle just one day randomly decided the phrase jigsaw puzzle was his and his alone and used his power as “the first” to just decimate the competition. He would go to jail!

This is the story of a man named Dan. Dan was a video game streamer on a website called twitch, and one day he rented a space and filmed a solid 5 hours of himself mucking about on a greenscreen. His fans ran with it. Sometime later he was confronted with a choose your own adventure game, starring himself as the protagonist. This made Dan happy, and somewhat terrified.

But as he started the livestream and watched the first video, he realised something. This wouldn't be your everyday adventure, no no no. It would be something far worse, far more sinister. As he wandered through this strange new game, he began to encounter many different paths and endings. Down one pathway laid a cozy and relaxing time with some ducks, and down another was a furry transformation, and down another was an unending time loop. And he called it : The RTGame CYOA Collab.

It feels like a complete shitpost, and yet you can tell that a LOT of effort went into making it, and that effort shows a lot of promise for some pretty damn good editing skills with a bit of polishing. The best part about all this is that of the 5 hours RTgame recorded for people to use, there was only about 2 clips of him just walking, so for most of this game he’s strolling around like either a total gentleman or a total dumbass.
