Just a heads up, Lyra Rembrandt are actually Professional grade colored pencils ! The reason why they have such a hard, and slightly scratchy texture it's because they are an oil-based colored pencils, they are not recommended for students due to their hard lead. Oil pencils are known to be hard and extremely sturdy, making them less likely to break which makes them great for base colors also finishings! They aren't as popular compared to wax based colored pencils such as Prismacolors! Waxed base pencils are soft, easy to blend but tend to break very easily. Oils and wax work will together when you layer them together :) Beautiful art supplies loved the editing :D
