I loved the video and I'm looking forward for more episodes on these series! Internet makes us forget about all the work behind the "good art", so many artists grow on thinking that's all there is and they're not worthy if they don't produce good art on a daily basis! So I think we need more of these experiment and fight-out-of-artblock videos ^^ I myself haven't drawn in a long while and just after watching this I'm considering tro try and put "some pen on paper" ~ Thank you for your words :)

i had a massive artblock that started in 2020 and ended this year. What made me draw digitally again was making Deponia fluff fanarts lmao 😭 It was so random but after making the first drawing in 1,5 years that I really liked it felt like I untamed something and art felt fun again. I quickly stopped making Deponia fanarts but I still felt inspired - now when I'm unnmotivated I make a sketchbook spread with a random character and try to make a backstory for them. I've found out that the stories behind the things I draw make me want to continue drawing and get better at it:)

Hi, thank you for sharing your thoughts about art block and similar. One thing that can help thinking about is that even thought art is difficult sometimes, often art is a big part of artists' inner life and it will often come back in some way, even thought it may be or feel different from before the art block ❤ I hope that makes sense 🌱And one thing you can do when not feeling artsy is to just let it be that way, and go do other fun stuff and try to relax and not think about art too much for a little while (doesn't work for everyone, but it use to work for me ☺). Because sometimes when you paus something you used to love doing, the back of your mind will start building up a little longing as the time goes by. And sometimes that longing doesn't come, but then you still have other fun things in your life that you are occupied with which makes it easier not feel too empty for not creating art at the moment 🌻 I guess when it comes to handling art block it's a balance between 1. taking breaks from art and 2. pushing yourself (in a kind way) to keep creating?

waaah you could NOT have posted this at a better time for me :^) i've been drawing and painting again after months of not doing anything and i dont like what i'm making most of the time but damn does it feel good to just be doing something again. love everything you said in this video, and also just goes to show that even though you don't like what you've made, doesn't mean you cant inspire others with it

really enjoyed this first episode, and i resonate heavily with what you're saying. I think for as long as I continue with art I will always have that battle with art block. I will never be able to continuously produce work like a lot of instagram artists and I think I just have to learn that that's okay and also kinda normal. Once my school crunch period is over I hope to become a lot looser with my work and make the process enjoyable for me. Sometimes I almost feel like my relationship with art is like having a toxic lover haha
