Don't really know what to say Mario. I think a thank you is in order and I truly mean it when I say it this, thank you Mario. Each day reading through comments people tell us how "great" we are. Hearing how you openly share with us the people in the industry that have helped you on your path as a tech really hits home. Like you, there are so many techs out there that have made me what I am today. Perhaps it is time for all of to pause and look back to see what made us what we are today. I owe a lot of people a lot of gratitude. I appreciate you man and thank for being a part of my journey helping me to learn and grow as a tech too. My absolute favorite is Pine Hollow Diagnostic with Ivan - very challenging/interesting/diverse cases and does it right infront of the customer. Most importantly, he comes across as humble and caring. He is the real life scooby doo.

This was a super well done video Super Mario. From your commentary to the clips being shown, you are showing yet another skill set that you have and that is as a narrator and and editor. This is no easy task! And of course I agree with everything you said about all these other creators! Except for Tommy Wolfe of Positive Lead Diagnostics. I talked him into doing some videos for my website where Caleb does the edits. So we have some Tommy content now! Just reviewed one today that we will have up this week! All great channels, south main auto and pine hollow diagnostics are regular stops for me as I also live in the north east. Always baffles me how I can spend 9 hours a day diagnosing and repairing cars and come home and watch someone on KZbin doing the same thing. It’s a great way to learn and improve your skills that’s why, 👍

Nice round-up part 2. There are a couple I didn't know about, but I was glad to see many of my favorites too. Maic Salazar is in a league of his own, definitely worth watching if you already know the basics and want to dig deeper. I'd also put ADVANCED LEVEL AUTO as my number 8 on this list (in no particular order). Eric has produced fast paced, clear and direct to the point diag videos for about 5 years, and I practically never feel the need to increase playback speed. Check him out.

In my opinion the most underrated channel of all is *Automotive Diagnostics & Programming*. Like Keith, he's aiming at the audience of professional techs, working as a consultant for various shops. I run his videos at double speed, and the content and techniques are first class. I really like the way he's set up his equipment to do drop testing with a light bulb in parallel with his scope or multimeter, all using banana plugs. Kinda like the old load pro, without the smoke and mirrors. And of course, don't forget Super Mario, ha ha.

I would like to add the benefit of what all of you do translates across trades. Troubleshooting method is a mindset regardless of what trade you practice. Not only do I gain knowledge on vehicles and methods to go about solving malfunctions, I also get a new take on diagnostic methods that are applicable to my work on automation systems I repair. There is one less popular channel dedicated for AC system which is worth mentioning IMO: Tom Lech / LECH AIR CONDITIONING I learnt a lot on the right equipment and procedures to service an AC system correctly. His videos are not as systematic and well organized as other's did because taking video is only for his entertainment purpose, yet he will also show the mistakes he make and he will answer all questions that make sense. Imagine you are a shop owner and have a robinair recovery machine but you will spend money to ask him do AC service for your own/wife/children's car, you would realize how reputable he is

Last but surely not least PHAD. In reality their are probably dozens of good ones out there. But for me Ivan is the man. He is almost always spot on. His knowledge an logical approach seems unparallel. His delivery is calm an to the point. It's no wonder he has such a huge following. An added plus , he's from my home state.

For what it's worth WHY not have a competition for those you mentioned or anyone who would like to compete? You could create your own diagnostic competition or enter an existing competition like TMC Super Tech Competition? These are great and have many benefits but they are not for those with ego issues and a closed mind. You could easily get sponsors. Let's see who comes out on top? You could use TMC as a template for your own competition. In my opinion this type of competition would be a huge hit for a well recognized automotive diagnostics channel. Anyone can claim how good they are but can they demonstrate their skills under competitive stress and a time constraint?

In defense of Schrodingers, he is directing his trash talk towards 2 aspects of the auto repair field. Both of which are at least partly true. First and this goes way back before Scotty and the internet and that is the publics attitude about auto mechanics as being untrustworthy. And there is definitely some truth in that. I see that in my own trade of locksmithing now pushing 50 years in the business. Secondly is ignorance which in this case is the tendency of the firing of the parts cannon to solve a problem and that is what all of the aforementioned diagnosticians are fighting against. Matt at Schrodingers has had a lot of training in the sciences and applies the scientific method to car repair. Yes he can be a little harsh at times, has no love for Scotty but overall is a very decent guy. As a rule he does not rely on clickbait, is not a full time mechanic and focuses on DIYers. He is not all that concerned with building viewers, just those interested in being part of the 2 % club.
