Great reviews & I love your channel! I'm obsessed with your Anne Rice posts & have watched almost all of them! I have only read Interview With a Vampire & from your commentaries, I think I'll continue reading some of her other books.

Oh, I forgot to ask: Have you read Firestarter? It's my favorite book by King & I truly believe it is so underrated by his fans. I also love Carrie because King is one of the few horror writers who delves into psionics (telekinesis, pyrokinesis, etc.) & The Shining has them too. I also have his novel, The Institution, which dives into psionics with wild abandon & someone told me it's a loose sequel to Firestarter, being part of that universe. Anyway, keep up the awesome work!

My surprise hit this year was Year of the Reaper by Makiia Lucier and Honey Witch by Sidney J Shields. I love that a lot of these were the bookclub picks as well.

My favorite book of the year was American Rapture by CJ Leede. There was a scene that made me so mad that I almost threw the book, so after you read the book, read her explanation (A Letter to the Reader) of why she included that scene. It's important.

kWent to the Talking Book Library & downloaded the Angelina Lopez titles before moving on to the next part of the video. Also downloaded Bride, but I'm a little wary of it. I love werewolves, but the whole pack alpha stuff usually bothers me. Wolf packs don't have alphas. That is a myth. If the book also features fated mates beyond the political arrangement & scents of peaches & cream, I'm out. I'm also hesitant to read Anne Rice's wolf books. I don't really know why, but I had already previously downloaded them after The Librarians recapp of them. I have not read The butcher & Blackbird, but I did read Leather & Lark based of a recommendation from a book club on Discord. I loved it. So funny. I will definitely be going back for the previous book at some point. I downloaded a couple others mentioned, but my TBR list is very long. I set my Good Reads goal for the year at 30, & I still have 4 to go. I have reduced myself to the Rats of NIMH series since they are short My favorite books this year were Ghost Station by S A Barnes, Leather & Lark, & Pinata by Leopolda Gout. That last one is a horror involving mezoamerican mythology & history.
