One of my favorite books of the year is The Wishing Game - it reads like a cozy fantasy even though it is really a contemporary. I loved hearing about your books - clearly I need to bump A Psalm for the Wildbuilt up on my TBR.

I desperately need to read Becky Chambers now… My fave books I read this year are Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo, My Best Friend’s Exorcism by Grady Hendrix, The Sun Does Shine by Anthony Ray Hinton, Nothing To See Here by Kevin Wilson, Nettle and Bone by T. Kingfisher & Half a Soul by Olivia Atwater 😊

Oh, you showed us some interesting books. I really want to read This is How You Lose the Time War next year, and The Bandit Queens! Some of my favourites were Six of Crows, Blood over Bright Haven, and The Way of Kings. Sadly, Our Wives under the Sea and Amina Al-Sirafi are in my worst books of 2023. They were just not for me but I'm glad you've enjoyed them. :D

My favorite books were Paladin’s Grace (and all other 10 books by T. Kingfisher that I also read this year 😂), Piranesi, and A Psalm for the Wild-Built.

Wanted to be sure you know that T. Kingfisher's Saint of Steel series is ongoing. I think it is planned for 7 books. The fourth one just came out this December. More goodness awaits you! Thanks for sharing your list.

Oooh which Katherine Steadman book would you recommend as the first one? Sveral People Are Typing is also one of my surprise favorites of the year! I don't know what it is about it, but it hit surprisingly hard in my office-working feels.
