I’m trying for the first time this year. Seed started in January - worried I planted out to late though. They look healthy but don’t look like they’ve changed a whole lot since I planted them out. A few have tiny little stems that are just starting to pop up but about all. Would love to see how yours look at this stage of growth.

Do you start germinating all of your groups at the same time? Not sure how this will work in Texas but I’m thinking for 4 months germination, starting seeds in October would be best. But do you start groups 1,2 and 3 at the same time?

I just started some I had left over from last year since I know pelleted seeds don’t last as long. Do you think the heat of summer (zone 6) will bother them by the time they’re ready to bloom? I don’t mind if the blooms come later than most would expect them to bloom.

I gave it a go and I was able to get most of them to germinate. My struggle is maintenance until they go outside. I’m breaking it up in small bites. First was to see if I could get them to germ next is getting them to survive for a few months. Is there a complete step by step video somewhere?!! They are my favorite flower. 😭

If we buy plugs as many farmers do we pay about $70 plus shipping for 125. We can buy 1000 seeds for the same cost, so the expense is our time-more work but much more profit!!

These are grown in the field, no hoop house. We have a video on growing them :)
