I hunt and love deer. Remember: hunting is for more than just killing. We’ve damaged the food chain by running predators out. It now falls on our shoulders as the idiots who damaged that cycle to help maintain it. Not to mention in some areas animals have migrated to regions they’re not native and cause serious damage (IE wild hogs). I wouldn’t be so quick to write everything off just because you think an animal is cute.
@russrock13 жыл бұрын
@@theosb7271 I do not begrudge hunters....I just could not rationalize doing it as I do not even like the taste of venison.
@theosb72713 жыл бұрын
@@russrock1 then don’t hunt deer. But think of it this way: predators kill the weak and sick while thinning the herd of too many numbers. We do the same when practiced in moderation. We’re not removed from the food cycle. We’re just a destructive apex predator.

Was out on a man's deer lease, they had feeders and salt licks, turkey's and lots of deer, I was up in a stand and a doe was below and in front of me, she had two fauns and while she was grazing, just ignoring the feeder, the two fauns were running around chasing each other and playing and I was amazed how much it reminded me of a human mother doing laundry or something while the kids played around with each other playing tag and what not.😇👍🤠

Deer can be remarkably sweet animals. There’s a park near my house that has some white tail in it including a giant buck locally known as Bambi. Bambi likes to come out and serenade park goers in the summer while his ladies sit in the shade. These deer are so used to humans you can ride your bike or skateboard past them and they won’t care. Just don’t go near the foals.

I met woman in West Virginian, that had a three legged deer for a pet. The deer had been hit by a car, and the woman took the deer to a vet that amputated the sec=verily damage front left leg of the deer. The woman could call the deer in the mornings and the deer would come, just like a cat or a dog. But one deer hunting season, a hunter shot the deer in the ladys back yard. He said it was deer season and he just saw the deer and shot it. He said he didn't notice that it was in the womans yard.

@truthseekerv13185 жыл бұрын
That's as Astrological saying. The Lamb is Aries, the Ram/Lamb.......and the Lion is the sign of Leo. Aries is the Spring and Leo is the Summer. The 2 times of the year that are full of life on Earth. The Growing seasons. It's talking about Spring and Summer, not an actual Lion and Lamb.The whole New Testament is an Astrological treatise.
@truthseekerv13184 жыл бұрын
@Mary Titus sorry but it is talking about that. Otherwise, it makes zero sense. Those texts and all Ancient world texts are rife with Astrological references, because that was the world view. The whole Biblical story of Jesus is an Astrological story. He's a mythological figure.

This deer and all the others that regularly came onto our property were not fenced or restrained at any time. We lived in a rural area and the deer have their feeding route that they take every day. This deer and her babies would come by and look in our windows and wait for my husband to come out with apples. They also ate all our flowers which we didn't mind because we enjoy deer more than flowers. On this picture she had given birth a month before and had nursing twins. They always look scrawny when nursing then fill out once the fawns are weaned. All the neighbors enjoy the deer.
