Nice review and fun track. We've added this to our Community Content playlist. One of the more unique aspects of this plugin is the non-linear response that occurs when you flip the center frequency and bandwidth switches out of their default position. As a result, you can apply moderate boosts/cuts without adjusting the gain knobs. If you decide to go this route, we recommend flipping the switches first and then dialing in the gain knobs afterward to maintain control of the sound.

Holy cow! This is seriously a very nice and smooth sounding plugin! Just wanted to see if anyone else is loving it and stumbled upon your channel. I installed the plugin this morning, and was blown away by how much better it made my acoustic guitars sound almost right away. I can’t say that I’ve not been satisfied with the AMEK 250, Kiive M5133 or UAD Manley Massive plugins - all of which have M/S processing - but it is so easy to dial in a good acoustic guitar sound with the Mäag. Easily my new favorite M/S EQ. Let’s see what it does on the mixbus…

Having the 2.5K range seems very useful as that is pretty much the spot that is most useful for adding percieved loudness in a master -LUFS

I like the EQ so far, but my only gripe is that there are no presets at all, which is kinda odd to see missing from a Brainworx-developed plugin (at least to my knowledge.) Love it so far on my vocals and mix bus.

@@josevega12093 to be honest I used to use it alot but have moved on. It is great but I find my self gravitating to Unisum for mastering compression, im actually making a mastering compressor comparisson video next week, maybe ill add the elysia to it as well. I do use the nvelope plugin by elysia alot though! Def one of the best transient designers, sometimes makes the mastering chain as well!

@@pluginhoarder I have several plugins where the little preset down arrow brings up a big blank box, and this is one of them. Click the narrow blank (at the moment) box where the titles normally appear, and the list shows up. I'm in Cubase, if that matters. Hope I said this clearly, I am a natural blonde.

@@pluginhoarder I'm not brilliant - I have a touch of Parkinson's, and one night I aimed to click the little down arrow you know, my hand jumped, and I clicked the title box instead, and the rest is history. For this mis-clicking thing, which I think we all do sometimes, get in a rush - I make liberal use of the SAVE function.

its a great plugin, but also a money grab from PA. They did not model anything new, its the EXACT same curves of the original PA plugin. The TMT, mono maker, stereo witdth, THD are all just brainworx, stuff thats already been developed. Its nice to have M/S , the auto gain is nice, etc, but should have been a free update imo, this cost them next to nothing to make.

My thing Is do I really need It bkz I already all the MAAG AUDIO plugins, EQ2, EQ4, & the MAGNUM K which by the way DOES already have M\S as well Sidechain link. It also has a MIX knob which EQ4ms doesn't have. Although It does have the THD & MAGNUM K does not, however It does have a Pre\Post HP filter option. But besides THD EQ2, 4, & MAGNUM have ALL these features. I also own the AMEK-250 MASTERING EQ & It has THD, M\S & a bunch more optional shaping features for the final mix. I already own 85% of the most significant PA\Brainworkx plugins as I have been an avid collector\customer for plethora of years now I want to buy this plugin SO bad bkz I always like to own any & all of my plugins that I have correlating family ecosystem plugins lol. But this truly would be a waste of my $20. That's also the only reason I would buy It bkz of the supposed FAN (product owner) loyalty price which Is actually the price point they are looking to capitalize. They use OVER PRICING as a manipulation tactic as well to gain a>>psychological edge over we the consumer mentally bkz we believe that we are getting a deal based on what they claim the products value Is. For all we know It could be worth 50 cent, or even worse, nothing like this plugin ahahah Ijs lmao smh.. But I've decided to NOT purchase this bkz It would be pointless when I have multiple PA plugins with THD, M\S option I even own the BAX EQ, as well as BX-Digital v3. BETTER MAKER EQ 232D. I also own the NAUTALUS DSC EQ. Those are just a few of my HEAVY HITTER EQ plugins for mixing & mastering & they are ALL PHENOMINAL at making QUICK & FAST work out of mixing & mastering. I have MANY different styles of EQ's for different editing purposes of course from coloring, spectral, to cutting frequencies etc. That's why In good faith I can't see a need to by this plugin bkz If I did I would have already purchased It In fact. It's, MAAG EQ$ M\S, has been sitting In my >>CART for 3 days now whilst I debated on the necessity of buying It. Which Is what lead me to this very video tutorial ahahah!! I'm like let me see If I really need this plugin bkz I have It downloaded & using the 14 day trial to see If It gave me any significant advantages, & unfortunately for PA aka (Native Instruments bkz that's who now owns It) It hasn't thus far lol smh. At least not anything that I don't already have, own, especially from them. It's the same CODE! Nothing new here but the added THD for me. Guess I'll have to go find something else to waste my $$ on now 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣!! You can afford to ^^^do that when you're a single, never married before, childless 50 year old Man with zero major debt lmao!!
