I think the bigger boxes can easily get overloaded. This one works well for putting together kits for different projects

I tried it. I like the idea. One box for drilling, another for soldering, third for screws, another one for nails, etc... Unfortunately I finished with too many boxes. 🤣 And many of them are overloaded. 🤣🤣🤣
@UpstateMaveric2 жыл бұрын
I would agree, for carrying around the big boxes can definitely be too much sometimes, wheeling around not so bad though

I’ve used this same ammo box to set up a high voltage cable splicing kit. Fits all the hand tools and little bits of hardware that you’d need, and works great!

love kits, no matter what it is, such peace with grabbing one box and everything you need is in there to finish a job !

Those adjustable dividers inside the toolbox seem pretty useful. Also, with this being quite a tall toolbox it really opens up the options for what you can store inside
@UpstateMaveric2 жыл бұрын
its great, I really hate having to put stack tools on top of one another, that's definitely a big factor of why I like these the best, my runner up would be the 3drawer box for the same reason, just so much better not having to dig through tools to get to other tools !

I’m a big fan of the ammo can as well. I set mine the same way you do yours with the fasteners attached on the bottom.

Such a nice set up - rather compact for what you can carry in it too !

The pack out system is tempting. I have a bunch invested in Occidental Leather, some Veto and other bags and boxes. Keep trying to keep away from the packouts.
@UpstateMaveric2 жыл бұрын
I have a set of occidental bags, they are awesome! I love their quality of build, truly top notch!
@manwithllama3 ай бұрын
I, too, tried to stay away from this. But I started and now can't stop. Sometimes I just snap different boxes together because the "positive" click is so satisfying. Something is wrong with me. But I don't care. I love it. Amazing system. PS: The crate, I think, is one of the coolest items. Seems totally overkill. But if you have the big dolly roller,, the crate is perfect to snap on top and just chuck in a bunch of stuff.

After using all manner of tool organization types the soft side bag is by far the best. Hard sided boxes are restrictive in a lot of cases. The idea of dedicating boxes to specific tasks is a good idea but once again the bag easily accomplishes this style. If youre moving around on a job site the tower of boxes is probably the way to go but for the average home owner the bag is for sure the best. The less ridged the container is the more it offer flexibility providing you keep it organized and dont allow your bags to cross contaminate where youre searching for stuff across a heap of bags.

Seen these filled with a grid of 1"+ PVC conduit to hold screwdrivers, pliers, and other hand tools in an exceedingly easy-to-see, 'first order retrievable' way. I would imagine the can would fit up to 10" channel locks. Probably great for those that do the fast-and-light 'bring in the box, open it up, fill a tool pouch with the 7 tools you need for the task/morning/day, rotate tools in and out as required, everything back in the box at end of day.' I've also seen someone turn one of the drawer units + dolly + seat pad with Packout mounts attached to the bottom into a rolling work seat -- I imagine you could do the same with this, and it looks like the can is a bit shorter than the drawer units; might be a more comfortable height.
@UpstateMaveric2 жыл бұрын
1000% ! I have seen that drawer rolling seat build, aside from being really expensive for what it is, I've been pretty tempted with wanting to do something like that - I like that idea with the PVC ... I might look into doing that - I am constantly changing my mind or my use for certain things so i never end up doing something too permanent haha - thanks for the comment !

Wondering if the M18 framing nailer would fit in this.
@UpstateMaveric2 жыл бұрын
I have the m1815ga finish nailer, which should be similar in size but probably a bit smaller... I will try it out next time I'm working out there and let you know - definitely would have the partitions out and it would take up most of the space

1. You can make video about lending tools. The non-tool neighbour not necessairly needs to get your best tool, because he can brake it. 2. You can make a video about borrowing tools. You do not need to own a tool used once in ten years. 3. What kind of hammers do you use? 4. What are your best 3 tools? 5. What are your worst tools? 6. What is in your First-aid kit? Do you have one? 7. Security glasses. Helmets. Straps. Gloves. Shoes. Etc. 8. How do you segregate tools? Electrician, plumbing, drilling, etc? What is your way? 9. How do you clean tools? So many topics comes to my mind. Maybe I should become a youtuber?

@@UpstateMaveric Also: 1. Food and drinks in the field, boxes, bags, knives, spoons 2. Picnic tools for fireplacing with family 3. Saws, knives, axes 4. Precision tools for electronics 5. Ropes, bands, expanders - all this kind stuff for packing and transportation 6. Clothes for a hard working man 7. Smart tools that work in many unusual situations, but not necessairly multitools. 8. Your projects you work on. 9. Unsolved problems - fresh ideas may pop out in the comments.

If you do plumbing: 1. What valves do you prefer? 2. What pipes? How you cut and join them? 3. Sink, faucet, toilet installation. If you do electrics: 1. What kind of cables are there? What are they for? 2. Security equipment for household voltage (110-230V) 3. Cable connectors, wagos, twists, etc. 4. VDE insulated tools. Any other jobs are also full of topics to be covered.
