i gave my grandma a tiny baby a couple months ago and i asked her jokingly the other day if she still had it. she said yes and opened an old altoid container with a reusable straw and the baby in. i was so delighted because i thought she would just throw it out or something. it was also surprising because i also have an altoid container with little things that mean a lot to me (old lockets with maps inside and things ive found.) it just reminded me of how close and similar my grandma and i really are, i love her a lot

Garrett!! Seeing your love for miniature babies, look into the Mexican holiday ‘Rosca de Reyes’ its basically a round cake with some babies inside. Very big celebration in Hispanic culture.

First of all this was such a happy surprise to find. I just had my great grandmas memorial Sunday and she built miniatures most her life until her hands couldn’t keep up with the art of it. Because of that I have such a love for miniatures. They have always had a special place in my heart. I hope to build some miniature houses and scenes when I have the ability to do so in the future. That being said since she very recently past I got to grab some of her miniature items and also a lot of the things to build them which I’m so excited about. It’s so hard to narrow down just ones that’s my favorite but of a single item I for some reason absolutely adore this little circular chair that looks like it’s straight out of the 70s. It’s this aweful yet lovely green like the kind you’d find in houses as carpet and around the bottom of it there is this mustard yellow fringe like a flapper girl dress would have. It has a raised middle which is also circular. Think of it like people can sit on the chair it would fit at least 6-8 people in full scale but they would all be facing outward away from one another. Anyway, I found that in the stuff and for whatever reason I’m very drawn to it. I think perhaps my great grandma loved it and maybe she’s purposely making me attached to it because it’s not something terribly special I’d imagine to most people but I adore it haha 😂 so that’s my favorite miniature item as of right now.

True story Garrett, my cousin made a funeral service for my goldfish Marvin and I had a whole graveyard for every single pet and creature that had passed. I hope it is still there as it was so important to me and my cousin doing that service for my gold fish meant so much to me to see that she cared about how much I loved this little fish. I think it is so sweet that you bring a bit of peace to each creature you come across that has passed on. You have such a sincere kind heart Garrett. The world would be a better and more peaceful place for the world if the majority was as kind and thoughtful as you. P.S. my most treasured mini objects are the clay creatures I made as a kid and a little tiny kitty cat that looks like my first cat named Sydney. Your appreciation of cemeteries is so relatable! My mom always took me to walk around the old cemetery in my hometown as a kid. We'd read about all the people from the 1800's and sit under the big trees. I think it helped me understand the peaceful and natural cycle of everything. I 1,000% want to be buried in a mausoleum that says "goth kids can chill here" on the front steps lol. ALSO, the part about burying insects reminded me of this butterfly I found with an injured wing, named Persephone. She lived on my windowsill for 2 months on sliced banana and peaches!

There is a lyric that I love that goes, "Human beings are destined to radiate or drain." I feel like a lot of people these days drain, but this boy here, he definitely radiates. Thanks for sharing your mini loves, Garrett! I'm going to go buy some miniature babies to hide around my hellscape of an office.

I have two tiny glass ducks that bring me joy every time I see them. I collect trinkets for my bookshelves so my family gets me tiny things for birthdays and Christmas!

man I got so excited for the "Now i'm a baby" little part! I think my favorite small thing is a broken sewing presser foot. It came with my machine and I broke it the first time I tried my hand at making something I could wear. I decided to keep it so I could have a tangible representation of the process of learning and how difficult it can be sometimes. Idk, I saw something poetic in it and I decided to keep it. Every time I have to sew something I grab it, look at it, and I always get this bittersweet feeling, it's something invaluable for me. So, yeah, that's my story!

You described the ambiguous feeling of dread I have been feeling about the world so precisely, and people like you truly keep the joy of little simple things thriving. I appreciate you and love all the mini friends

Whenever life gets hectic and stressful, I watch one of your videos and am immediately grounded back to earth and remember not to take life too seriously. Thank you for that Garrett ❤️😊

I love little babies! But also, introducing the small babies with Now I’m a Baby just really made my night. Still bopping to that song almost 3 years later! ❤

Hearing Garrett ramble about making little gravestones to random little things made go “damn, I’m in love with this big boy.” Upsetting really. ❤

Casper is really sooooo underrated and i grew up watching it like 100 times. It’s so nostalgic and the acting is very emotional. I will never get over when Casper met his mom or flew kat to the light tower.

My grandma passed recently and she was the sweetest woman alive. Its been difficult these past few days and your videos help me a lot. I too have an unearthly obsession with miniature things. My favorites are a mini house with a succulent, gnome garden and two lil dogs, and a tarantula named Earl. Thank you for always putting so much joy in my days.

It would be so cool if you did a series where you show your different miniatures and just tell stories about them and their meanings, like in this video! Loved this video, and can't wait to see more :]

I have many miniatures because I grew a love of painting them. One of my favorites is a big kings chair that sits smaller than your palm. And the little buckets and benches are adorable! Also the little tiny plates of food that the set came with!!

One time in school we had to keep egg shells as babies for a few weeks, and my best friend printed tiny manga books for the egg baby to read. They were shrunken prints about an inch wide with one staple as the book binding 😆 Still have them 14 years later

As a person who also has lots of tiny and odd objects I relate to this so much! I also love the way Garrett talks about Obake so passionately. he kinda sounds like a mad scientist that convinced his assistant (jenny) to create a creature that is so strange yet so wholesome to become their adoptive child. 10/10 would recommend tiny objects to keep the serotonin levels high!

There is something so satisfying about something being made into a tiny little replica with details, I get so happy when tiny little boxes do open and things turn cos that’s just so cute and cool
