Warrior was a movie that hit me in a way very few do. Because Tommy (Tom Hardy's character) just reminded me so much of my own life. Because I had been there. I had an alcoholic father and that relationship was extremely complicated when I got older and when I saw this movie I was around 15 and everything about Tommy just hit for me. The whole movie was great but Tommy was the best part for me. I knew how damaged he was from his childhood because it's the same way I was damaged and I really saw a lot of myself in him. The rage, the fuck the world attitude, The loneliness and the absolute hatred towards the people you feel left there to save themselves. Warrior is a masterpiece and it got me to take those first steps in coming to terms with my own life and fixing the broken parts that could be fixed.
