Little Women was definitely my #1 this year! Loved it!!!! It did jump back and forth a lot, but it’s easier to understand if you’ve seen the one from the ‘90s. But it was absolutely gorgeous and had me smiling, crying, and laughing in the theatre!

I gotta watch the movies on this list! I’d say go to the Q&A rather than the premiere. The movie will still be out after, this is a special once in a lifetime thing! Some of my favorite movies of 2019 were Bohemian Rhapsody, Period. End of Sentence, Us, Rocketman, and Hotel Mumbai.

I typically do not like war movies, but 1917 blew me the heck away. It was a visual spectacle as well as a fantastic study of empathy and humanity in the face of such ugly circumstances. I agree with every film on your list, but am ashamed to say I haven't yet seen Last Black Man in SF. :( And Parasite is my favorite

Portrait of a Lady on Fire was my favourite film of 2019. But also I really like the Netflix Beyoncé film?! I thought it was so well shot and edited and of course the content was amazing.

Lady Bird has a friendship of two people but it’s not explored throughout the whole film so I can see where Booksmart did that. No idea how Marriage Story isn’t higher but I have to contain my opinions lol. Great picks! Haven’t seen Last Black Man in San Francisco but now I’m excited! Great list!

1. ‘Booksmart’ - dir: Olivia Wilde - This has actually become my favourite film of all time 2. ‘Parasite’ - dir: Bong Joon Ho - Soooo original, so smart and just extremely well made 3. ‘Knives Out’ - dir: Rian Johnson - Not many people talk about this movie, but I absolutely adore it 😫😫 4. ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’ - dir: Quentin Tarantino - Loved it so much. I LOVED Knives Out. Not a spoiler: It's actually a film about immigration disguised as a mystery film. Absolutely brilliant! I also recommend The Lighthouse which borrows from Igmar Bergman's older films such as Persona. I really hope Parasite wins the Oscar for best picture so it will gain the recognition it deserves. Unfortunately I have a feeling it won't, but I hope I'm wrong. Definitely one of the best of the decade. I still need to see Portrait of a Lady on Fire which won't have a wide release until Valentine's Day😔

Have you seen the movie "The Straight Story"? If you haven't seen it, its based after the true story of a guy named Alvin Straight who traveled 260 miles from Wisconsin to Iowa on his lawn mower-tractor just to see his dying brother. It's such a beautiful, unique, amazing movie!

Have you ever seen the PBS series of Little Women? Maya Hawke plays Jo. It’s much more detailed due to the fact it’s a miniseries rather than a film, and it captures the book soo well. In the new film in my opinion although all the actresses are amazing I don’t feel like they fit the character roles as they were written. I loved the miniseries (except the fact they used a grown actress for Amy) and personally think it is the most accurate to the book!

I didn’t feel like Amy and Laurie’s relationship was rushed. I felt like it has a lot of sense that they got together and they we’re perfect for each other. And definitely was portrayed better than the others adaptations. Ps: portrait of a lady on fire is great!!
