Some interesting and unexpected choices Scott, some bands that I have never even heard of! I was lucky enough to see Priest in a night club just before Sin After Sin was released and then in larger theater for the Killing Machine tour. I would have to choose Sad Wings of Destiny in my top 15 none prog albums though. I was in my early 20's when electronic pop ruled the airwaves and wore my dancing shoes. Human League's Dare is a desert island disc for me. UFO's Lights Out would also easily make my top 15. Saw the Schenker era and one of the best concerts I've ever seen. Big Bowie fan but only his glam era. Aladdin Sane just pips Ziggy for me. Simple Minds New Gold Dream would also make my top 15.

This might seem random but healthy hearing is the important subject to music lovers and it is the subject of Tinnitus. I have also fallen asleep with headphones on many times and add all the concerts added to that and weirdly a bad cold that seemed to set it off but it comes and goes. Correction: For Eddie Harris, Exodus was the lead track. The album was called Exodus to Jazz. On guitar for that one is Joe DiOrio, whom Wes Montgomery once recommended listening to in an interview. On my way to work this morning, I heard Robin Trower (The Fool And Me). Sucks that I would have to remove an album from my list to make room for Twice Removed From Yesterday. None of his stuff is prog although it could be argued that Bridge Of Sighs and Long Misty Days kinda have some prog-like qualities

Interesting concept for a list because it makes ANYTHING that isn't prog eligible. Two threads through this discussion suggest that the best debut and double albums of "all time'' might be things to check out (haven't gone back enough to see if you've done them much earlier than I arrived here). My favourite album of all time is a live album, and for me, it's not even close. Mine is At Fillmore East by the Allman Brothers Band. A double album by a band who melded the blues, jazz, etc, stretching it out with never the feeling that they are over indulgent. Not a note is wasted. Six young men at the top of their games led by their leader Duane Allman. Doesn't get any better than this.
