My favorite Pokemon are weird, and I'm sure a lot of them are Pokemon you don't hear other people talking about a lot. Today we will be discussing my top 10 favorite Pokemon as of Generation 8 with some of them being pretty obscure Pokemon! At least it started out at a top 10 favorite Pokemon video, then I couldn't narrow it to only ten.

I love talking about favorite Pokémon and hearing the stories that lead a mon to be someone's fave. For me, Mawile is my number 1, but despite me playing every main series game when they came out, she actually didn't become my favorite until XY. I just happened to get a Mawile with competitive-ready IVs at Lv. 1 in Wonder Trade, and in the process of raising her, I just came to the realization that she was my favorite Pokémon, and of course my favorite Mega Evolution as well. My other favorites range from super popular mons (Greninja, Raichu, Gardevoir) to ones almost no one talks about like Vanilluxe, Heatmor and Cryagonal. I also have a huge nostalgic attachment to Clawitzer, I used one in my first playthough of Pokémon X, which became my favorite Pokémon game

My favorite Pokémon is one that I got made fun of for back in grade school. Mightyena. Apparently stats are the only reason you should like a mon, to some people anyway. But I've always adored Mightyena, ever since I first caught and raised a little Poochyena when the games first came out. His name was Yena (I wasn't that creative) and I went all the way to the league with him, and he carried my team through the Liza and Tate battle. I had a book at the time, a small handbook with every Pokémon in it, and I remember tearing the Poochyena/Mightyena page out and keeping it in my school binder. I later got it laminated, and though I since long lost the book itself, I still have that page in my collection. I used to trade cards with other kids at school , and they would always tell me when they got a new yena card, because they knew I'd dang well happily trade them a Charizard for it. Ever since then, I've collected every piece of merch, figures, pogs, plushes, etc, every card, and even more obscure things like a Ruby & Sapphire card pack with its picture, stickers, and others misc. I even keep all the cards in an old power keepers binder because there's a yena on the back. I've had a yena in every single game I playthrough. I'd trade them into games that I can't normally catch them in, in PMD I always keep one on the team for adventures, after beating Ranger I keep a pack of them with me for post game, etc. In X, I of course had one on my team since you can catch them in the game, and I even bred a competitive shiny, both my babies. I guess my deep love for the mon stems from the fact I've never had to many friends growing up, and I did get picked on quite a bit, so I saw playing Pokémon as a comfort, and Yena as a way to escape society for a bit by feeding him or entering it him contests. And if I couldn't play with my in game Yena, I'd draw him. So yup... My favorite Pokémon is, and always will be, Mightyena.

I mean most of my favorites are pretty popular, but I see many people disregarding Dewgong and that's ludicrous to me since I've fallen in love with her because of that scene in the first movie where a girl trainer rides her Dewgong in middle of Mewtwo's storm! And YES I get really frustrated everytime I remember we can't ride Dewgong in Let's Go. My dream of reacting that scene is no longer a possibility

Heres a list of some unpopular pokemon I like - Hypno, people dislike it since its scary, however thats why I like it, since its the only pokemon creepypasta that scares me - Trubish, its cute and ugly at the same time, i think it works well for a first evolution pokemon based on trash - Grumpig, I used it in a playthrough once and i really liked using it a lot, I like it the most out of all the unpopular mons

My favorite Pokémon is Marshadow because he is adorable but also badass and he is pretty damn good in battle. I also have a soft spot for ghost types plus whenever he attacks he goes into zenith mode and he looks awesome!

My favourite Pokemon are Sceptile and Infernape. I've played Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky and the way he sacrificed himself to save the world really made me appreciate the Treecko lines. Infernape because Chimchar was my main team leader in Explorers of Sky.

You know what's funny. Most of my favourite Pokémon are Pokémon that nobody ever mentions, but the shared first place are both very popular Pokémon. Metagross and Gardevoir, while I also don't have anything with the Psychic-type. Swalot is also one of my favourites like you. I played all of Emerald a few times, eventually I got Pearl and played it till the end. After that I wanted to play Colosseum once again and did the 100 floors ¿battle tower? and one trainer there had Swalot. I had never seen it before and thought something was wrong with the game, especially because I knew every other Pokémon I encountered in it I already knew of.

My all-time favorite is Raichu. Raichu is the definition of an underdog, because he's constantly overshadowed by (the objectively interior) Pikachu. I also really like Magnemite, and if I did have a channel mascot it would be Magnemite. So yeah, I also got some weird favorites.

The very first time I played Pokemon was a hand-me-down Pokemon Blue version that once belonged to my older brother. While I didn't grow up in the era of these games, everything I knew about them came from my two older brothers, so I still got the blunt force of all those playground rumors. You know, Mew is under the truck, Mash A and B to catch pokemon better, Charizard is the coolest pokemon, etc.

I love a TON of Pokemon, but my personal 3 favorites are Sandslash, Mimikyu, and Cinccino, due to using them very often, and also they're cute as heck. Also, Clawitzer is based on the pistol shrimp, a shrimp that propels itself backwards for speed, thus the "pistol" on Clawitzer.

I love Solrock so much, I thought it has a Fire evolution on the first Pokemon game I've ever played in my Gameboy Advance which is Pokemon Ruby since it looks like a sun. It's level is even higher than my starter Pokemon which is Blaziken.

Confession: I used to think Mantyke was a mythical pokemon. It kinda sounds weird but to be fair I probably confused it with Manaphy and Phione since the former is named similarly, they have similar colours and typings. (speaking of phione, I hate how you can’t wonder trade it from pokemon home since it’s a mythical. Like, I used to love breeding phione and wonder trading them to other people in gen 7. Why won’t it let you wonder trade mythicals and event pokemon or even put them on the GTS?)

I thinks its really hard for me to pick favourite because there is so many great ones by my uncommon likes(i guess) go to Electrode as it in colours of Polish flag and Polish have short fuse I like Emboar and i think if used correctly without selfharming moves it could be the best one out of firefighting trio. Diggersby is my newfound love as i liked it for huge power and bulk but when used agility it can sweep i used it in online battles and it did sweep half of opponents team (heatran mega lucario and greninja) like it was nothing it would keep going but toxic took him out in fourth turn I also like pyroar and nit many pople do for it has many weaknesses and its not physical attacker but thats what i love about him its a fire type there is no good hard hitting not selfharming move fire type is the best in its special stats. I like Jinx and Mr Mime they have very good offensive stats and nice typings especially mr mime. I like Delphox and i think its the best firestarter ever created.

My absolute favorite Pokémon are Numel/Camerupt. I remember playing Pokémon Sapphire Version for the first time, saw Numel on Route 112 and wanted it immediately. The uninterested look coming from its eyes are so me, but more adorable. And even though it has a 4x weakness against water, the Fire X Ground-type was so unique at the time. Plus, Camerupt learned Eruption (the previous signature-move for Groudon) at Lvl.45. So it appeared to me like the nonlegendary version of Groudon, just like Wailord (with learning Water Spout) was a nonlegendary Kyogre. Other Pokémon of my favorites are mostly from Hoenn and Sinnoh, as well but more popular than Camerupt, such like Aggron, Tropius, Salamence, Staraptor, Luxray, Rampardos and Dusknoir.

Some of my less popular beloveds are: Grimer/Muk, especially Alolan Grimer/Muk. Because one I hatched in Go was my first shiny ever Wingull. One I caught in Brilliant Diamond was my first shiny in the main series games, not counting the Zoruora given out in Sword and Shield. Mawhile. I love the design and the concept and the cultural elements behind it. The Pokemon based on yokai are some of my favorites, especially Froslass though I don't think that one fits the "less popular" theme here. Silicobra/Sandaconda because it reminds me of my own sand boa who has similar coloration and markings and is also a snake that burrows in sand. IDK if they count as "less popular" but the "Pikachu clones" can be fairly divisive. But I love them, especially Pachirisu. They're just adorable. Raichu deserves more love even if it's prevo is the one that's the mascot. Wish Gorochu had made it into the games. It bums me out that Jynx's cool yokai origins didn't exactly translate over too well in America... to say the least.... sucks that the piece of culture it taps into was unfortunately similar to something so horrible in another culture and history. I've always been fond of Maractus. No specific reason, just really like my card of it. Sewaddle is adorable.

I have a lot of favorites. Of course some of my favorites are more popular ones like Flygon, Gardevoir, and Aggron. But some of my favorites that are less popular are ones like Eggsecutor, Bronzong, Sigilyph, Purrzerker, and Regirock. Not that Regirock is particularly "unpopular" per se but just less popular than most other legendaries. I have lots more favorites but there's too many to list lol. Pretty much every pokemon design to date has something appealing I can find about them.

I use lower tier mons in OU all the time. I cannot get my head around how people can enjoy winning a battle with the same old copied sets as everyone else. How is it fun? You’ve done almost no work to win the battle. Try a specs Durant, Rest sleep talking Girafarig, just do something unique ffs.

Your video made me happy, it's nice to know that even the "unpopular" Pokémon are loved by someone. My favorite Pokémon aren't unpopular except a few (for example Purugly, Woobat and Swoobat, I love cat and bat alike Pokémon, they're my favorite animals), but I see my favorites as very cute Pokémon, while others doesn't think their cute but more cool. Some of my favorites are Gyarados, Crobat, Dialga, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Swampert, Metagross, Sceptile(Sapphire was my first Pokémon game, Hoenn Pokémon and Characters such as Steven Stone, Team Aqua & Magma will always have a soft spot in my heart), Samurott, Lunala, Froslass, Alakazam, Volcarona, Hydreigon, Mismagius, Gengar, Sableye and many more. I really really love Crobat and Gyarados, my friends give me always weird looks when I say how adorable they are(no matter what Pokémon game I'm playing, they're always on my side except the 1st generation where I have (obviously) only a Golbat and on Black I got them after beating the main story). I recently bought a used copy of Alpha Sapphire and my Golbat already evolved into Crobat at level 23 because it loved me so much, I was so happy!! (sorry if I made some English mistakes or spelled some Pokémon wrong, I'm German and not really used to the English names)

I think you'd be happy to know that the closest real life resemblance to Clawitzer is a hermit crab outside of a shell. If you're near a beach boardwalk, get a pet clawitzer!!!

My favorite over all is Eevee, I own multiple plushies for Eevee and the evolutions I don't have Sylveon though. I have a lot of Eevee merch and of the evos my favorite is leafeon. But outside of that I like Fennekin, Scorbunny, that new Fox in Sword and Shield(I haven't played it yet because I'm broke) Meloetta, Mawile and a few others that aren't coming to mind immediately. The irony is I have a few Pokemon based cosplays I plan to do when the virus let's up on the conventions but none are on that list

I like Clawitzer too, and its shiny is definitely one of my favourites. I distinctly remember chain fishing for a shiny Clauncher in my copy of Pokemon X because I wanted one so much. I've always liked Pelipper for some reason. It's such a silly design that I can't help but like it.

One of my faves is magcargo, gets overlooked for other fire types and its an absolute tank. venomoth in leaf green because it learns bug, psychic, grass, poison and flying moves much more useful than actual grass types. and lanturn. lanturn because its water and electric and when i was 11 when gen 2 came out I thought that was badass.
