A few buddies and I are heading there in less than two weeks from Florida. I was just there about a month ago for the first time and loved it.

My favorite ride as well. I piece together Bear Creek 2/Bear Creek/P1/P2 a tiny bit differently, but that's the beauty of that place.
@_Aitch_2 жыл бұрын
How do you do it? I went a different route the first time I was there but I think I like this way a little more
@TooMuchBike2 жыл бұрын
@@_Aitch_ I park on Gates Chapel, ride the forest road up to the Bear Creek trailhead, go right and up Bear Creek 2, around to where it connects to the trail up to the overlook, turn around there (or go on up and do the spur), then back down to P1 and over to P2. It's about 21 miles but I am NOT bragging at all; I was on a EMTB. ;) Bear Creek 2 is a monster. No way I could do it on an acoustic bike.... I got the route on Strava, but YT doesn't like links...
@_Aitch_2 жыл бұрын
@@TooMuchBike I like that. That’s pretty similar to how I did it the first time except I didn’t turn right on bear creek 2. Just went straight up the loop and spur. I think I like the way I did it in this video tho… just straight shot up the gravel road. I tend to prefer a straight to the point consistent gravel road climb over trail climbing

That climb road is long wow. I looked at it on TrailForks and its 7 miles long. I tried to follow the path you took on TrailForks and map it out but I must have missed a part or something. Great vid once again. Nice to see you are still having fun out in Colorado. Hope to see more vid's coming down the pipe and see the rides from out there! I haven't ridden in two weeks now because of covid. I'm almost over it so hopefully I'll be back on the bike soon.

More vids coming soon. Should be able to start cranking them out once I get back on the road. I don't have that great of a workspace at my buddy's place. And sorry about the covid, man, glad you're starting to feel a bit better.

Do you use Strava? Would love to follow your rides and see your elevation/miles on all these awesome trails.

I don’t. I’ve downloaded it and fiddled around a little but never used it for a ride. I have my watch gps track my rides and never really thought about sharing it that way. I’ll look into it and see what I can do

I looked back at my garmin activity and it looks like it took me about 1.5 hours maybe. I don’t have an exact number unfortunately

Dude you are rippin down those trails🔥 Sounds like the climb is long but is it brutal? Do you know your elevation gain and descent for that ride?
@_Aitch_2 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. Climb is definitely tough but i prefer a straight to the point gravel road climb over a windy rooty trail climb. This is essentially the route I did except I started at the bottom parking (on mulberry gap road) which means you eventually bypass bear creek road…making the route slightly shorter. www.trailforks.com/goto/route/34693/ Stats should be almost the same minus bear creek road distance and elevation
