I facilitated an 8 hour new hire orientation for many years. As a way to see they were back from break I would ask these fun questions. If you could be an extra in any TV show or movie (new or old) what would it be? And what was your favorite cereal growing up? And then later in the day after lunch I would ask… What is your favorite dessert? Do you make it yourself? If not where do you buy it from? These questions always got the class talking! And I would have them explain their answer as a way to help them feel more comfortable in front of the group. And of course people like talking about themselves!

So glad u mentioned the Hello! how you? How's your day bit 😀 I've thought its rude not to say hi, recently I've noticed a few social groups, they just started with what they want to say. My understanding was , if you haven't seen someone or depending on age or if it's a business connection, the formal format is the Hi how are you approach..it kinda feels to me like the door of communication is open all the time as if you no longer saying hello and goodbye , Happy to come across this video ❤

Hi, Vanessa. Have you read Emily Post's book about etiquette? I think that your social tips should go in there. Maybe you could collaborate with her descendants, who still update the book.

@@e.m.8094 I'm the opposite. Text is more like holding a conversation with the caricature of the person in your head. Something gets lost in that.
