I’ve noticed that I get less people approaching me since I started growing my beard about 13 years ago. I like not getting stopped by solicitors as I’m entering or leaving a store. They usually look at me and don’t say anything. I’m not a mean person by any means just find it funny how people react to facial hair. They either love it and compliment you or they think your a mean dude. I had a doctor come up to me at work and tell me when he first saw and met me he thought I was going to kick his @ss just by the way I look. I laughed and told him maybe 20 years ago when I was a teenager but I’m one of the nicest people you’ll come across now.

I definitely agree that having facial hair elicits somewhat of an intimidation factor for most people, probably relating to a subconscious instinct passed down from ancestors; facial hair = masculinity = higher testosterone levels = strength and/or perceivable threat. I'm sure that there have been psychological studies based on peoples' reaction to beards.

Great idea for a video. One point I’m real happy you made is how unruly it can be to live with a moderate beard day to day. Mostly indoors with my family I look like a hairy yeti chewing a wasp. Combing and some products are a must to look as sharp as you do. Don’t chop too much it’s a great look pal!

I trim my beard on 1-3 all the time and it's full except for one small area that doesn't grow as fast. I did try to grow my beard before but I gave up because it started to look really messy and curly on the sides and never grows in length, are there any signs that could mean I cannot have a long beard? and how can I reduce the fuzziness and curly hear? Love the videos keep them going!

I had hot wings last night. Geez, what a mustache mess. I'd say I went through at least 1 napkin per wing. Right up there with ice cream cones for me. Great vid Greg, looking forward to the next 10 questions/answers and Nov 1st to see what you're going to do with the beard.

Love your videos and tips on your beard and hair! I think you look great with your beard! I have a question for you! What’s your nightly routine like? Do you put any product in your beard say after the shower and before bed?
@robbyrotten42657 жыл бұрын
Is there a way to correct a half-stache? I used to keep a shaped shadow before I began growing, but actually began growing because I always messed up shaping it. My moustache a bit thick, but doesn't start at the base of my nose, is it necessary to grow the area under the nose?

Can you do a video of where you stop when shaving under your chin?
@MattP-BandB7 жыл бұрын
I know what you mean about people commenting on your beard and not you. Up until about a month ago I modelled my beard after Jeff but I was tired of being defined by my beard and not who I am as a person. As a result I took it down to about an inch and maintain it there. I still looks good but doesn’t draw much attention to itself. Plus it’s easier to take care of. Just my 2 cents. Peace and Love my friend. Happy Halloween
