I agree after taking United from Chicago to Hong Kong. Now ANA is still better overall from my personal experience to Asia, but price wise the United product was well worth the value, and they had an amazing staff on my flights. I haven't done a USA-Europe flight yet with a US carrier, but I am curious how they stack up to British Airways and Virgin Atlantic since that is who I took when I flew to London in the passed.

I avoid AA and UA as much as possible. I have another a couple of flights with Delta coming up in a few months months👍

PLEASE! the people who bash them were stone cold quiet after Southworst dragged a passenger off for throwing a fit. If United did the absolute exact same to her, Black LIES Matter would be suing United for "racist" treatment. And United's flight attendants didn't do it. The AIRPORT security attacked and threw him off. For some reason, Southworst can "do no wrong." Even people who have been "rebooked" for the SAME reasons as United don't get mad at Southworst. But if they flew United, they'd act like their firstborn was slapped.

I recently flew on Delta in economy from Minneapolis to Amsterdam. I found the flight to be really nice. The crew made me feel welcome and at home, the food was pretty good, and the seat wasn’t too bad. On the way back to Minneapolis, I had a layover in Atlanta and flew on an A321 from ATL to MSP. The seat was comfy and that crew was very nice. I have a growth disorder and need medicine to grow, but the medicine needs to stay cold in order to work. My family has a little cooler to keep my medication cool but the cooler didn’t work as well as we thought. We asked a flight attendant if she would be able to keep it cold. She took the matter very seriously and did what we asked with much care. It made me feel that Delta really cares for their customers. That is why Delta is my favorite US carrier.

I say from an improvement standpoint, Delta has made the biggest leap. They used to be absolutely abysmal but have realized that United and AA will snow them in if they don't make a noticeable change in all classes. They seem to have done that while AA have made the smallest improvement.

I'll take a 25 year old Delta 757 or A320 over a brand new American 737 MAX. American's masquerading as an ultra low cost carrier with their new narrow bodies. Tight pitch, minimal seat padding, no IFE, tiny lavs, etc. There are some really old MD88s, 757s, and former NW A320s. In the past two years, I've only encountered a few birds in bad shape: MD88, older 757 that wasn't recently refurbed (old IFEs, bad overhead bins, beat up seating), and CRJ200s on the regionals. The good news is there are a ton of new airplanes that have joined that fleet and are on order: (130) 737-900ER (25) A350-900 (10) A330-300ceo 242-ton (25) A330-900neo (122) A321ceo (100) A321neo (90) A220 / C-series That's over 500 planes. That's over half their fleet. What old planes are you encountering on your routes?

My dad is a pilot for Skywest, and because of that, I get United, Delta and Alaska free. Aside from the bad stuff that has happened in United’s past, they really have had a solid hard product. They are a good airline if you actually fly them. I also love delta as well. They have a professional foundation and are awesome. Alaska is awesome too, but don’t have these big flights yet, but they are good enough to have one in the future.

For me United is #1. Was my first flight to Asia in 1987. I love their route system (even now) and that they serve Guam, Saipan, Philippines, Federated States of Micronesia and Marshall Islands. Love that they go to India. Closest to Pan Am of the US majors in terms of route system. Love the Polaris product and the 777-300ER. Had a wonderful flight in Polaris BOM-EWR.

All 3 airlines have improved by a lot and to be honest all 3 are very good on long haul routes. However, I must say that while Delta wins in terms of food and service most of the time, they need to step it up in regards to their loyalty program.

In Delta, I liked what I saw from the seat, and the foods authenticity. In United, I liked that their food was also decent looking, and must’ve tasted good, as well as the Sundae’s; also I like the fact that they have lounges before and after flight. My favorite is United, but for personal reasons that date back for the last 20 years. The reason I really hate American is my personal disgust how they handled TWA employees in St. Louis when they merge/bought them out. I grew up as a kid in St. Louis, and TWA was our airline. The staff was friendly, and it was nice to have a major airline for direct flights that wasn't Southwest. That said, American bought them, and over time they de-hub St. Louis since Chicago was close-by. I understand the business decision, I really do since United did the same thing with Cleveland. That said, during the early years of American they still kept St. Louis listed as a hub, but started forcing so many people to go through Dallas which sucked when I flew out East. Dallas is a nice airport, but prone to many delays due to pop-up storms in the summer. That said, the airlines in the early 2000s were still heavily using the hub-spoke system before the point-to-point system became more popular. I digress, but the fact we were a hub with limited direct flights by the mid-2000s was BS. They should have at the time rename us as a focus city. Furthermore, they screwed over TWA employees by cutting them first, and not giving them fair treatment compared to American employees. Because of their treatment to my home-town, I have abandon them once I was old enough to make my own decisions. Meanwhile I haven't had issues with Delta, but for years they always wanted me to send me to Atlanta for flights out of the midwest. For years if I looked at flights to LAX from STL, they usually wanted me to go to Atlanta despite their SLC hub out West. Why would anyone take a 4 hour flight and make it an 8 hour journey? Stupidest logic I have ever seen, and it took them until the 2010s to figure out how connecting flights should be somewhat on the way to your destination since they have added closer routes with their NWA merger. Furthermore, I normally don't fly to a Delta hub compared to United, or even American at one time. Minus NYC and LAX, I don't fly to their cities. Nothing against Detroit or Minneapolis, but I have no reason to fly to them. Now I live in Chicago, which is why I am with United over American for my reasons stated above. Now is United perfect? No, but in general I have found them to be reasonable when it comes to prices compared to American out of Chicago. I really like the Mileage Plus program, and since I have their Credit Card I get a checked bag, and I rarely have any non-saver award blackouts with my miles. Keep in mind, this is due to the Credit Card, but the free check bag, two united passes, double miles for hotels and restaurants, rare saver award blackouts, then it's worth the $95 a year since the club itself costs $60 for a stand-alone visit. I digress, but even the service on board has been good for the most part. Occasionally I get some pissy employee on board, but I understand how awful the job can be. It's not an excuse, but I keep that in mind with my treatment towards them. That said, the staff on my ORD-HKG flight was excellent, and many United Express flights have been pleasant. In fact, I have gotten free whiskey several times. (Thumbs up). Finally, the Star Alliance is the best program. I can use my United Miles on many of the world's best airlines including ANA, Asiana, and Lufthansa. The only global airlines I am jealous I don't have is British Airways from personal experience. If anything, One World is only good due to the fact it has British Airways and Cathay since American Airlines drags them down. Overall, United has treated me well, I like their lounges, and their hubs minus LAX due to gate restrictions has plenty of good direct flights. In fact, it's nice how United is very Asian focus since they are the only airline out of Chicago to have a direct flight to several Asian cities, and their SFO hub has many direct flights to places like Osaka to Seoul. Even American or Delta can't match that for the most part, but I know Delta is investing heavily in Seattle to be a Pan-Pacific launch point. p.s.: I don't fly Southwest since I am not a big fan of their group boarding nonsense over picking my own seat. I also find their two free bags a nice gesture, but way too many flyers abuse it with check-in being a drag due to how they attract many infrequent flyers who struggle with the basics. Furthermore, I like flying internationally, and their miles will go nowhere in that regards. Thanks for reading!

delta is better. Professional. Delta terminals are better/ stores. TSA agents at AA terminals are horriable, rude. Gate agents at AA so,so( I saw them treat their own employee slightly rudely on two different occasion). Note my experience is mainly out of Atlanta airport. It may not be this way at other airports. How does one gain access to flag ship lounge? The dreamliner for AA seems nice, never been on that one. I like Delta's food too.

American seems to be the most expensive. Delta has the worst hubs, chairs, and their baggage handling is terrible. United is always just average.

One time, on a Delta flight to JFK, my boyfriend banged a flight attendant in the galley at 35,000 feet and the pilot found out about it and wanted to marry them right there in air! Apparently it's bad luck to do that on a flight out of wedlock. Well, they didn't, and we landed safely putting that stupid wive's tale to bed.

Delta all the way. The only thing they lack is a true premium lounge like UA Polaris and AA Flagship. My guess is they feel their hard and soft products are so far superior to the other 2, they don’t have to invest in their lounges as they build their loyalties in other ways.

For me its southwest, you get snacks, nice staff, 2 free bags (with less restricition carry on) and you won't get beaten and thrown out of the plane. After that it is delta for sure.

MUFC TV United beats southwest in delays. (80.7% on time vs. 78.0%) the only reason you like Southwest is because it’s cheap and that’s okay to admit. It’s a budget airline after all

The reason why i like southwest more than united is because when you pay for a flight that both airlines cost similar, southwest offers more for the customer than unied. The bags, constant barrage of sizing of bags, free tv and snacks. If you like united thats you opinion but don't go on the high horse act like southwest is cheap and united isn't. They both offers similar prices but united always tries to ruin the customers' experience with so much limitations!
