Thank you so much! I like to try and make things that are cheaper than I can go to the store and buy them! Most of the stuff I make is given away so I pay close attention to my yarn cost and I save all my scraps up for doing mosaics.

💕Thank you so much for this video! I’m going to start my first mosaic blanket soon & your advice about yarn is just what I needed to hear. I didn’t know that these yarns softened up after washing/drying - that’s good to know. I spent the summer making crochet tops & I’m ready for a project where size/fit isn’t such an issue. Blankets are basically one size fits all.😀

Do you have a video on how to work with different yarn sizes and hook sizes in one project, Courtney? I mean in regards, that a bigger hook size is supposed to increase the width of a piece and vice versa.

Hello, Just found your channel. Love it! I was looking for mosaic patterns and there you were. It's my next big project; a mosaic blanket made with leftover yarns where I'll learn to do mosaic. Thank you for all your tutorials. I have one request. I love your tutorials and noticed that lately you've been posting pictures of what the piece will look like. A big thank you and I hope that you will continue to so.I wish you had a picture of the finished project for your older tutorials. Yes, I've been binge watching. Before I start a tutorial, I like to see what I'm making. So, here's my request: where can I find a picture of the finished project for your earlier clothing tutorials? I'm really interested in your kimono cardigan using shawl in a ball. I have lots of them and was looking for a project. Also, butterfly poncho, tulip sweater, and the oh so simple crochet cardigan. It really does look simple. Thank you from Canada

Thank you for binge watching! Early on I didn't know much about editing but I've learned a lot over these months so you will see the pics in the beginning of the videos going forward! I have some pictures posted on my community page so if you click that tab and scroll down you will see the Kimono's for sure. Others are on my Instagram which is @fiberfoxstudios. If you don't have instagram or the pic you are wanting to see isn't on the community page here let me know and i will post it! The tulip sweater has another video where I'm talking about it and I am standing up showing the sweater from the tutorial as I'm wearing it. I do mess up the count on that second video but its not the tutorial its just me talking about it and explaining some things about it. I'll link it in a separate comment too so you can see that one. Thank you so much for watching and for the feedback!

Are u a magician ..lol. the blanket is beautiful. I would never know. OK don't judge but laughing is ok. I gets lots of yarn from thrift stores. I will wash the yarn before I use it if needed. Great video.. I'm learning about yarns..the DK ..the #3 #4 . It's been confusing cuz my yarn is from the thrifts..no labels. I guess I'll take your advice and not stress. Thx !!

🤣🤣🤣🤣💙 and Yes don't stress over the size! if it's close enough or you can control your tension, you will be totally fine!!! Lucky you on the thrift store finds! That's great! I seriously go with my mom once a week and I never find any yarn but i look!!!

Just love your blanket, I would love to make one like that, how do I mix pattern 12 +4 Nd 10 +6?
@FiberFoxStudios
@FiberFoxStudios 4 жыл бұрын
Hi!! This is a great questions but a complicated question 😁 I'll do my best to explain it! I'm going to use an example here, if you multiply each of the multiple starting chains by 3 (12 × 3 = 36 + 4 chains = 40 total chains when you work the first row the last chain is always a turning chain so you will end up with 39 chains. NEXT do the same math on the other pattern: 10 × 3= 30 + 6 = 36, after first row you have 35 chains. The difference is 4 stitches/chains between the two patterns. You will need to go with the multiple of 12 + 4 to create your total size of the project so you have enough room to work the longer pattern. Then when you add on the smaller pattern you have to adjust by those 4 extra stitches so you will either work a partial repeat at the end of your rows OR you can do 2 extra back loop only single crochets at the front of your row before starting the pattern as shown in the video and then you will end with an extra bk loop sc after you finish the repeat of the pattern at the row end to keep it looking symmetrical. You would keep adjusting as necessary when adding more rows or other patterns to the project. Just make sure you choose the pattern with the bigger multiple always to figure out the total number of chains to start with. That doesn't mean you have to start with the pattern with the larger multiple you just need to make your starting chain will accommodate that pattern when you add it to your work. I hope this answered your question. If I have confused you let me know and I will have to put together a video to explain with examples. 😁

Your borders are so pretty how did you hide all the tails ? did you just weave them in
@FiberFoxStudios
@FiberFoxStudios 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I do weave in just a bit and knot it off by chain up 2 and synching down. But I know q lot of people do the double border so they don't have to deal with the tales. Ophelia Talks and Tinna both have videos on how they do the double borders.
