In england we can say either 150 (or whatever number) 'gsm' or say 150 'gram'. They're interchangeable. I use to work for Paper mills.

Qor sets are great. I have the ever popular and beautiful High Chroma set and glad I picked up an additional one when they were selling for like $24. I also bought the earth colors set, that is really great, also before all these ridiculous price hikes. p.s. Off topic: Sometimes,whether it’s the manufacturers or the wholesale distributors, the prices get marked up super high for one reason: GREED. I’ve seen this happen a lot for a variety of things. What seems to happen is this: Due to inflation, sellers think…ok, people are paying higher prices anyway, so let’s see how much more they’ll pay. They have taken advantage of Inflation, that is fortunately tapering off here in the US, but prices for many household items are still too high. I’ve seen some sellers decide they can gouge customers for their products. Unless I really have to have that product at that time, I won’t buy it. And here’s a real zinger: I have been using a daily face lotion w/sunscreen that’s been discontinued by the manufacturer and that I last paid $18 for now advertised on the Big A for $74! That’s nuts! And if people buy that 2.5 oz bottle of lotion for $74, they’re nuts too! 🤪

I love my Derwent Inktense pan paints also. The colors are a joy to use and are perfect for quick line and color sketches.

Yes, my derwent palette is my go-to palette in the summer - I just could not have come up with a better combo!

I love my Progresso pencils, I've been using them for so many years. I have a few different Derwent palettes, I love them all.

If you want to invest in REALLY lovely paints(maybe as birthdaygift) you should try the A Galllo watercolors,I love them😊 My favorites are: A gallo watercolors Polychromos pencils Clairfontaine 300gsm 100% cotton sketchbooks(I have the travel size) Paul Rubens metallic watercolor paints Schmincke granulation watercolor(glacierset, forestset and shire set) 😊

on the topic of how to say the GSM thing... personally i still stick with saying gee-es-em myself because it's only 3 syllables whereas grams-per-square-meter is 5 syllables and is quite a mouthful. i'm sure there are people who don't actually know the meaning behind 'gsm' but i think the majority of us who care about what paper we use know the meaning and just opt to say gee-es-em instead. to each their own. thankk you for a lovely video~ i recently got the seawhite myself and wanted to hear what you thought about it :) happy holidays!

Thanks for sharing, I recommend you to try the everyday sketchbook from Etchr (my favorite sketchbooks). If you prefer to work in the wet for watercolor, I recommend you to try the perfect sketchbook from Etchr. For the brushes : Casaneo from Da Vinci :) and Black velvet from Silver brush

Khadi Fat book ( Jackson’s) is such a great sketchbook. The pages are thin but great for playing with gouache and watercolor. I ordered 2 more Khadi sketchbooks from Amazon. I also ordered Camlin Kokuyo 12 tubes after positive review by Lindsay frugalcrafter . Excited to try them.

The biggest disappointment I had was the Qor mini urban. I love Qor because the dance and flow . But these pan, the pigments don’t flow or rather anymore than normal watercolours. 😕 . I have their Quin magenta tube and oh my - dances like the belle of the ball. I am not sure whether the pans are a little different to prevent pigments from flowing all over in transit ? Maybe ?

I do totally say km instead of kilometers, and I would totally say ‘G S M’ rather than say it in full.
