MY FAVOURITE BEACH IN OAXACA 🌊🌴 Playa Carrizalillo, Puerto Escondido

Welcome to my favourite beach in Puerto Escondido - Playa Carrizalillo. Situated close to the Rinconada strip in town, this beach has the clearest water and is the absolute BEST for snorkelling! It can be great for beginner surfers on some days too. In this video, we also take you to Pinches Tacos for lunch, Palma Negra for ice-cream, followed by Espadin Restaurant for an amazing sunset drink. I wanted to show you Chupalitas for the best wings in town for dinner, but unfortunately they were closed so we went to Vaguito's instead (my 2nd fave for wings).

Christianne, my DUDE. I am planning my next big trip (1 year of backpacking: Nov 2022 - Nov 2023), and you have 1000% influenced my decision to commit to Mexico. I have dreamed of going since my father visited when I was child, but I kept putting it off because of the distance and $ from Australia. I binged this entire series for two days straight and the elation I felt watching you travels has made me realise that life is short, and if not now, then when? You’re KILLING me here!!! I’ve spent the last two Winters in Puerto but due to Covid, didn’t return this year. I LOVE it there! I’ll be back next Winter for sure! You went to all my favorite places including Espadin at sunset!!! How much longer will you be in Puerto and how do you like it there compared to Tulum? I think Tulum has been ruined, as I’ve seen it change so much over the last 20 years and Puerto is so much more relaxing. Look forward to more of your videos! Spend some time in Chacuaca! It’s gorgeous and so unique! It’s really worth the extra time it takes to get there...thanks for sharing!

Small is beautiful at Carrizalillo, set in a sheltered cove west of the center that's reached by a stairway of 157 steps. It’s popular for swimming and bodyboarding, and is the place for beginner surfers.

It was a leaning curve on making reservations @ Espadin but you got lucky. Good on you. We always bring our binoculars there & share them with the workers to view whales. It's late March now & the number of whales passing by is very limited. December thru early March is the best. Love what you are doing. Thank you for sharing your passion.

Hello, does this beach have chair and umbrella rentals? I’ll be in Puerto Escondido next week and would love to lie out at the beach all day and order food and drinks while taking dips in the ocean.

It has a few table/chairs but not many and not many food/drink options either. I think Manzillo Beach would be a better option for you ☺️

Yes, Thailand is about 20% less than Mexico comparing touristic places. However Mexico is huge and much more varied, sierras colonial towns, forest, landscapes, and many cities and not so much touristic places are about the same price

In countries like Mexico where the government can’t financially support people who’s jobs have been affected... life has just had to go on as normal (ish) to keep businesses running and money coming in! I feel super lucky to have chosen Mexico back when we were allowed to leave the country to experience a bit of the normality!
