Puerto is a great place to make friends from all over the globe. It's my favorite place ever! Just a piece of advice: avoid walking late at night in the streets of La Punta and Carrizalillo, there are way too many wild dogs. Almost every time I tried to save some cab money by walking on the beach from Zicatela to La Punta, I almost got attacked. I found out that it's safer to walk along the main road (AKA the highway).

Great vid friends, love it. We spent 5 weeks here in Puerto Escondido sadly it rained for 2 weeks or more. haha we did love it and never got to see all we wanted. We saw enough to know we loved it. Our rental did not work out for us for many reasons. Loaded up our car and headed for Huatulco, we have only been here a few weeks so far but love what we have seen. Another tip to save extra money. Cabs to the airport cost 200 pesos. You can take a bus to the supermarket for 8 pesos, and from there it's 40 mins walking to the airport. Or you can take a cab to carrizalillo (40 pesos) and walk 20 minutes. Obviously only during the day.

I would definitely not recommend going swimming in the manialtepec lagoon, a few days ago people were attacked by a crocodile at night and are now in a coma, although the promoter said they are harmless.

You can be honest: which did you prefer MORE, Colonial Oaxaca (the capital city of the state), or Coastal Oaxaca (from Pto. Escondido to Huatulco?) I'm impressed with how much you covered here in only 3 or 4 months! Going back someday, amirite?

Thank you so much for the great vlog! Have spent the last 2 Winters in Puerto and will return early next year. Love it there! You covered SO much and did a great job! Good to mention the Benito Juarez mercado and Zicatela mercado for good food options if you’re doing local cooking. We are elders, so didn’t do a lot of La Punta visits, although enjoyed a few spots there. We stayed near Rinconada and then a month down at Costa Cumaná which is beautiful! We love Puerto Angel as well for a good swimming/locals beach...
