Jonny, thank you for taking the time for doing this video. Just to clear the voltage subject ; you can power the pedal up to 12v DC and, internally, it has a voltage doubler that doubles the voltage that you put in. That voltage Doubler has a switch that enables you to turn it on or off. So, when On, if powering with 9v you get effectively 18v. If you power it with 12v you get effectively 24v. If the switch is Off you get what you put in.

A lot of the time there you had the clean all or most of the way up, so you were effectively demoing the pedal as a clean boost or a preamp. Still got a good sense of what the comp itself sounds like when you turned the clean down in the mix, but would have preferred more on/off at different compression ratios with the clean lower in the mix personally. Either way, sounded great, would be interested if I was in the market for a separate compressor at the moment.

True! For me removing the clean is never a spund I'm ever after so I think I just went by ear

It's not I'm afraid, but its super simple! Literally just the GK head with no crazy EQ paired either the Ampeg SVT 810 cab. Do you have Instagram? I could send you a photo

I find it unfortunate that your reviews (which are excellent) are too much colored by the line6... You have a good sound, but it tends to kill the abilities of basses and pedals you're using... Personnaly, i prefer the sound of a good DI for reviews. nice video though ! 👍
