The most sensible advice I have ever heard when it comes to health anxiety and perfectly explained. Only someone who has been through this can understand and pass suggestions on like this. So so grateful you have used your experiences to help others - you have been a sanity saver for me even most therapists I’ve seen don’t totally ‘get’ it because they haven’t been there themselves. They know how it works but they haven’t lived it so their advice falls short of someone you know has (and some).Thank you ❤

I just spent 10 days thinking I had breast cancer because one of my boobs was hurting, near my armpit. Until I got my period and the pain disappeared over night 😂🙈 I am 40. I should be used to PMS and boob pain 😅
@hollydaugherty26207 ай бұрын
If you're 40 you should also have had a mammogram by now and that should give peace of mind.

You are 100% correct. You explained all my details etc well! Each month I've got a new issue ie one month stabbing pain in groin/balls, then a lump on neck, then a pain somewhere else, paranoid about pooing blood or something, V shaped lumps on back of tongue, now it's muscle twitching in lower right belly with slight sickness feeling... Convinced it's cancer or liver failure etc! Wtf why why why.

@@sciencetest8 Hi. Same here. Still ongoing. It's a form of OCD I think. I had another blood test today and awaiting results. Still got IBS symptoms as explained above which I forgot I posted about here! To add to Thai I've just had to put my dog down aged 15. The Nusea and stabbing pains come in waves.

I’m exactly the same, it’s every dang month. This month I’ve had RUQ fullness, im convinced it’s liver/pancreatic cancer. Chronic symptoms, they get worse, and move around depending on what i am convinced i have at the time. I just can’t stop and get no relief unless I take anti-anxiety medication. I have an ultrasound tomorrow and I’m legitimately scared stupid about the results. Im imagining the radiologists face when she finds massive tumours etc. I’m just a mess and I can’t stop it.

@@eden1588 You sound as bad as me! Anxiety causes lots of physical symptoms though, and makes it all worse. Face the fear head on. It's easier then. Please let me/us know how it goes tomorrow. A glass of wine after might help you relax!

I'm living in this loop, where I don't stop googling the symptoms and it gets worse every day. I'm having fasciculations and it's making me feel really bad. I'm just like you, checking my body to see if I haven't had atrophy, wanting answers from doctors, even though my neurologist says it's BFS, he did tests, etc, I can't seem to believe it's just anxiety. Nightmare I have experienced in my life. Your videos have helped me try to forget this problem. We will get better, like you. Thanks for your help ❤

I had an eye twitch for 8 months… all caused by a really stressful period of my life. It was the eye first and then, everywhere else. It finally went away and hasn’t come back 4 years later. It was anxiety causing it. I have horrible health anxiety and it was horrible while it lasted.

The awful thing with me is I have health anxiety when I don't even have symptoms. I don't have to have symptoms to think that I have a disease. I have fear a lot of the time for just fear of getting cancer, or some kind of other awful disease. It just won't give me rest. It's constant with me. I hate it.

How do you deal with people saying that if you feel something's wrong, it might be your intuition and the way of your body alarming you about a serious issue? Also with people saying if you feel something's wrong and the doctor says it's fine, advocate for yourself more because many times they miss things or neglect symptoms? This is the most difficult part for me.
@beyond_words_dance7 ай бұрын
Me too…I struggle with that. I guess it’s a matter of time. I’ve found that some symptoms subside when I do the above. Also having faith in your doctor and not reading aaaallll the stuff online around doctors missing something. Sometimes they do but it’s rare. Most of them are thorough ❤

When I experienced anxiety about my heart, it took around three to four months of drinking tea and trying to calm down before it resolved. During that time, no one really helped me. No doctor suggested visiting a psychiatrist or therapist; they just said it was anxiety and left it at that. There was no support for coping with the anxiety. Sure, it’s just anxiety, but that doesn’t help when you’re still experiencing the symptoms. So, I drank a lot of tea every day and tried to stay calm. One day, while lying in bed and feeling my heart pounding, I became so frustrated that I told myself, “Even if I die, I don’t care anymore. I can’t do anything about it anyway, and if it happens, I won’t be around to complain.” I started to ignore the symptoms, not react to them, make peace with it, and stay calm.

Had MRI done and unfortunately it was normal, next is EMG on this Tuesday may be. I don't know this is just anxiety or real ALS, if any one here had similar symtoms and that didn't get to MND or ALS, please tell me otherwise google has confirmed it that i have ALS
@hollydaugherty26207 ай бұрын
"Unfortunately" your MRI was normal? What kind of statement is that? People with cancer would be pissed to read that. You should be glad it was normal and focus on therapy for your health anxiety. Google can't confirm anything and neither can you. Nothing you described is concerning or suggestive of ALS.
