Read the manga. I was like: yo wtf, this changes everything, no way, what?, this changes everything, do it phos!, no way, holy shit. Literally at the end of every chapter it ended with me saying one of those, if they repeat is because I said them moré frequently. The author went on hiatus 2 years ago but you can tell he did it because he wants to think of an acceptable ending based on where the story ended up.

I want you to know that, it's thanks to your video on Berserk that I was able to make it through this tough year. I watched the 90s anime a couple of years ago, and didn't feel the need to go any further. However, your description of how uplifting Berserk can be - how Guts is one of anime's great examples of trauma survival - took me back to it. And it's a good thing too, as I have suffered traumas in my past that still haunt me, and this year they've come back in a big way as I have been hospitalised multiple times. Thanks to you, I found a role model in Guts who gave me hope. Lots of love and best wishes for the year to come.

To anyone reading this, important PSA: If you've played Danganronpa, you NEED to play the Zero Escape series. Just like Danganronpa, it's made by Spike Chunsoft. Zero Escape is basically the less popular brother of Danganronpa, which is a shame because the series is PHENOMENAL. The first and second game are bundled together on Steam under the title "Zero Escape: The Nonary Games". For what it's worth, Super Eyepatch Wolf frequently uses songs from 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors (the first game in the series) in his videos, so I think it's safe to assume he also like the series.

I haven't played Zero Time Dilemma yet, but I've heard that it's...... not quite at the level 999 and VLR are at. And that's putting it nicely. Although I can't recommend 999 and VLR enough to everyone, Zero Escape deserves more exposure that doesn't involve Clover dress up simulators.

I can confirm that ZTD isn't as good as 999 and VLR. It's still a pretty damn good game with all the twists and mind blowing reveals you'd expect, though.

ZTD was kind of really aggravating for most Zero Escape fans, but I'd say it's "So bad it's good". I rate the Zero Escape franchise way higher than Danganronpa though, as well as Ace Attorney (despite its later releases being somewhat lackluster, the first 4 main games along with spin offs, I'd probably define as some of my most enjoyable experiences in video games)

+ AzureKite619 Yeah, you are correct. Zero Time Dilemma doesn't even come close to reaching the quality that 999 and VLR were at. That said, it's still a good time if you're a fan of the series, and it introduces one of my favorite characters in the whole series (Diana). Also, ZTD plays with RNG in a really interesting way that I've never seen done in a video game before. Just like 999 and VLR, ZTD has branching paths, but unlike the other two games, some of those paths are based strictly on RNG. In fact, literally the first choice you make in the game is calling out whether you think a coin will land on heads or tails. This means that you need to make some of your choices at times when you literally can't know the result or look up how it will turn out which increases the tension in a lot of the early part of the game.

Please do a video on Danganronpa V3 sometime when you finish it! The ending of it is absolutely fantastic and one of the most interesting and unique endings I've ever seen to a video game. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it when you're done because of how divisive the ending is and it'd be very interesting to see your take on the ending and the messages in it since you're really damn good at giving your interpretations across!

Well there's Ever 17. It's written by the same guy that did 999 and I've heard the story is very similar. Also the fantastic Ace Attorney series. And The World Ends With You is a JRPG visual novel like game, it has the same hyper japanese aesthetic like Danganronpa.

1) I agree 100% with wanting to see a "Why you should watch New Japan Pro Wrestling" (Or "Why you should watch Professional Wrestling" )video 2) I actually liked their Dominion match the most. That spot with Kenny avoiding the rainmaker (without trying to spoil it for anyone, but if you watched the match you know the spot) may be one of the greatest spots I've ever seen in wrestling.

Ryan Fredericks : Don't get me wrong their Dominion match was literally 60 minutes of Perfect wrestling but I went into it already knowing what to expect. The first Okada vs Omega' had that element of unpredictability that made the match way more special to me. Just my opinion though

Even the G1 match had this element too, with both of them speeding up their process because they know they need to beat them in less than 30 minutes

Either his amazing YT channel, or his written content. Also, check out *CRPG Book Project* by writer and RPG enthusiast *Felipe Pepe* , in which he covers the history of Computer RPG from West to Japan, as well as reviews on the noteable ones. * So glad you read *Blood Sweat and Pixels* . Everyone who plays video games should read about the people/studios that create them. That book is the perfect example of just how difficult gamedev actually is. * If you enjoyed DDLC, please do try more traditional VNs. Stuff like Saya No Uta, Umineko or Wonderful Everyday. * There were so, SO many video games on 2017 that were so good, they would've been hailed as classics in any other year. Glad someone recognised EW2 for what it does so well. Two horror games that you should play next are *Darkwood* and *Detention* . Latter is an adventure game with tone and style of Silent Hill (but in a very good way) and takes place in a real life historical event. Former is something so original that I've seen nothing like it in horror games. Have a great 2018 ahead.

If we're talking visual novel recommendation's, and I know this one is very well known, i binged Fate/ Stay Night recently and it is a good fucking VN. If you've only watched the the Fate anime adaptions, or want to get into Fate and want somewhere to start, I'd recommend it. Though it's really fucking long. My end time was 60 hours

Finally someone mentions Lupin: Goemon's Spray of Blood and acknowledges how goddamn amazing those fight scenes are. Some of the most brutal and kinetic I've seen in a long time, it's almost like you're watching an anime Tarantino flick. If you haven't seen anything Lupin related yet you're missing out. I really wish ANYONE else would talk about that in these comments, but alas, all we get is unnecessary bitching about politics when the video hardly even had anything controversial in it. Also after blowing through Devilman in one night and loving it I really wanna check out the two Yuasa films. Crazy how a man can put out that much quality content in less than the span of a single year. Say what you will about 2017 overall, but in terms of media it was pretty fantastic.

Awesome video, absolutely loved it, but christ it started getting annoying turning my volume up and down constantly every time one of those jumpcuts to another topic happened. Why the heck did ya make them so damn loud? I mean the ending was pretty touching, and the whole video was full of amazingly interesting stuff to look deeper into. But those really loud transitions really felt....out of place. But other than that, wonderful video, and I'll surely check out most of the stuff ya suggested here!

He was elected in 2016 but took office in 2017 and has spent every moment he hasn't spent on his golf courses (at the taxpayers expense) working to fuck everything up. The worst thing about 2017 wasn’t the abundance of politics, it wasn’t North Korea trying to act more tough than they actually were, it was Eromanga Sensei. But seriously, Eyepatch, your videos do provide plenty of escapism and you being able to describe the fundamental themes of a story and why you like it gives amateur writers like me a base do build our understanding of stories and how to make them. Yes, think pieces about the state of affairs of the world are important so that we can act accordingly. But if we forget about the things we love, and the art that (for the lack of a better term) feeds our souls, well, what's left but to wallow in darkness? Nah man, keep doing what you do. Any video recommending Houseki no Kuni is a good video, in my eyes; it's been such a great journey watching it climb from the pits of obscurity into securing a rightful place among anime's best, and the more visibility it gains, the better (particularly with how criminally undercovered I've found it to be). I very much consider it my favorite anime that I've seen thus far, and found Phos to be one of the most intimately compelling and endearing characters I've ever had the pleasure of watching.
