Man, I remembered reading Story 1 when the update first came out and wow op really went out of his way to paint his gf as crazy and jealous while hiding details that showed how much of manipulative and conniving person he really was. Even his responses were slimy. Even if the gf was in the wrong, unjustly jealous, and yada, yada, you let her go when she wants to leave the relationship period. Hope second op is away from that man forever and learn to never move that fast ever again. She sacrificed so much for a 6 month relationship and she got played so badly, gf please take this as a learning experience.

Story 2 - Cheaters will always scream about their partner’s lack of communication while literally not having direct enough communication that their partner is aware they’re upset and feel neglected and it’s making them question the relationship. So it's fine to neglect, and ignore, a partner, to use them as a source of free sex and housework, not to care if they are present or not, to do nothing when they need someone to be there for them? For communication to work, MEN need to LISTEN to women, and TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY. No wonder she looked elsewhere, as he gave her nothing, none of his time, no affection, no care, nothing. Cue the abuse as none of you have the balls to reply politely.

At first I was like "Well, they're staying in the friend's house. A couple weeks isn't too long -- she (the gf) is being pretty ridiculous about that. And who _wouldn't_ help a friend who they were staying with?" then I reached the parts where he was like "I go into my friend's room the instant I get home and don't really even talk to my GF but I really need her around so I can afford rent" I haven't even gotten to the GF's post yet, but yeesh.

Story 2, OP is treating the ex-fiancé’s objections as valid when he absolutely shouldn’t. She is not taking responsibility. If she was unhappy, the adult response is to communicate that. It would have been better if she’d called off the engagement and left the relationship than to cheat. This was not OP’s fault and he shouldn’t be blaming himself. He can try checking in with future partners if he wants, but he shouldn’t have to walk on eggshells like ex-fiancé wants. She has been immature and inappropriate.

1) OP is an idiot for dismissing his girlfriend's thoughts and feelings on this matter as he is prioritizing his "friend" rather than his girlfriend. YTA. If he cares about his girlfriend he would leave there with her instead of playing house with the friend. What a selfish idiot. After update from the girlfriend: Good for the girlfriend getting away from this awful guy. He just wanted her for the added income and convenience and treated her terribly. What a schmuck. Congrats to this X girlfriend for not wasting any more time on this guy. 2) Oh my gosh, how terrible to learn at this point that the person he was about to marry was cheating, but better now than later. Obviously OP is wrong about "We never lie to each other." It's time to give her the boot since she is a lying, cheating, deflecting, person. He should immediately stop supporting her, she should take what is hers and get out. OP can decide if he wants to stay where he is or sell. I would suggest not making that decision when there is so much turmoil. After update: It seems OP realizes he did nothing wrong, and could not fix issues in the relationship that were not brought to his attention. Girl friend is just not a quality person with whom he should ever want to be. I think OP is handling this well and being more than reasonable, except he is engaging in conversations where she tries to spin her actions and blame OP, time to not let that happen.

Story 2 - I would protest the 50/50 on the house…he hinted that he was paying for everything. It’s not like she was a stay at home mom to his kid. So in that case. How much did they each put down on the home. Did they each pay the mortgage 50/50 or one paid all utilities and taxes or other stuff to equal the mortgage 50/50. She already owes him $5000.00. She would also be responsible for half though technically she cheated she should be responsible for all wedding debt. This is no longer a relationship this is a business negotiation. Finish and end it the quickest way possible bc living together while doing this will be horrible.
@sfsin3380 Жыл бұрын
For the house it generally don't matter in a lot of places if she put any equity money in and especially if she is on the deed the courts will split ownership 50/50 and because they aren't married yet the courts won't/can't force fairer deal threw. Way too many expensive drawn out court battles if Op doesn't accept that and take the loss. Where I live there's a local former couple who wound up in a situation like this neither will take the loss and so have spent over a decade spending far too much money trying to be sole owner while the house rots. The divorce process is awful to go threw but it's like that for a reason and nothing make that clearer than a situation like this and that local former couple. PS Never ever ever take rent from your SO on a property you solely own without consulting a lawyer. Odds are much higher that you live somewhere with the above rules and because you generally can't legally rent to someone your seeing romantically that "rent" will be viewed as equity payments. It's just not wort the risk. Don't do it!

Disabled under 50, have an avg benefit of just under the poverty line (which is well below minimum wage & subterranean compared to a "living wage"). Many are homeless because even HUD housing (30% of income) is more than people can afford. Its often the case that we (disabled under 50), especially women, have to live in emotional & physically abusive homes to avoid the streets, where even worse harm could come to us. The threat of being kicked out or being separated from assistance animals (cats, for example) is always hung over our heads. I'm not at all surprised by the 1st story. I'm glad she had the funds to afford a hotel & travel expenses to a friend who could house her. It can take years to find a HUD home, though. In my county, its an average of 7 years waitlist, WHEN the waitlist is even open to apply. I wish her all the luck in the world.

Story 1: Of course the OP's ex can do whatever she feels makes her happy. But I feel like there's something missing from both sides of the story. There's a few things that OP said that makes perfect sense (helping his single mom friend with household stuff because being a single mom can be tiring) and other's that doesn't (how a few days turned into months). But there's a few things that OP's ex said that doesn't make sense either ("He can just live with her for all I care." But also "He needs me to find a new place." These two are in direct contradiction to each other.). If I had to give a judgement, I would lean towards, their relationship was never going to work out. OP's ex is obviously the jealous type. OP is obviously can't his ex the attention she needs. I think everyone sucks a little here. I feel like if they had all just sat down together and talked it would, it would have reached a better conclusion. But it also sounds like none of them trusts each other enough to do that. My motto is, if you can't trust someone, don't get in bed with them (metaphorically and literally).

@@draconicfeline6177 yeah!! They think we should be so appreciative of their generosity of monetary care (my SSI covered my part of rent and food and I was driving them to work…) and the fact that they are sooooo good to even deal with someone like us UwU our saviors. Blech

She's not your fiancée anymore. Dude, you can't seriously think holding her hostage is a way forward in your relationship. She no longer consents, as is evidenced by not only her saying so, but her sneaking out during the night. You need help.

Story 2 Stop with this BS that the betrayed partner is somehow responsible for the cheating, is not true The cheated on person is 100% blameless The cheater is organizing a wedding while having an affair and claiming she loves someone else The other person behaviour is completely irrelevant, there is no chance of an honest relationship with a monster like that. They will cheat in any single scenario, no matter what the partner does

It’s crazy how delusional a lot of people are. Wow. Why are you engaged when you don’t even have a place to live? Priorities. Also, the boyfriend is super oblivious or just playing dumb. This is yet again why opposite gendered friendships tend to mess up relationships. Let’s not pretend one of the parties doesn’t consider things at some point

there are a lot of issues on the 1st story, from both sides. the Wife being outraged because they were sharing a house for just THREE WEEKS is bonkers! And OP clearly has issues of his own, and was trying to please the friend more than he pleased his own wife. I can't really say there are assholes on this story. Both may be suffering from mental issues due their extended time being homeless. It affects each of them differently, but it left an effect on them anyway.

She cheated down... the comment is based on what? ...how he framed the story...we have no idea if he is a good or bad man...while cheating is 100% wrong it does not make him innocent in everything. If u think like this u'll just make the same mistakes in the next relationship
