‘Feel the rhythm! Feel the rhyme! Get on up, it’s bobsled time!’ Cool Runnings has to get my vote, a really fun film and a huge part of my childhood! It’s not just funny but it has a lot of heart too and I never get tired of watching it.

Dodgeball is a comedy, but it actually does follow the "sports movie" tropes basically spot on, as part of the joke, so it would actually work as a good choice. I might have gone with Shaolin Soccer, but IMHO if you're talking about the classics would be tough to beat "Chariots of Fire." Additional category thoughts: "Visions of the Future" (Sci-fi I feel is too big), but there are a lot of movies that "show us the future" and those are almost always interesting. "Buddy Comedy" basically any movies with two leads that play off each other for most of the film. If I think of other ideas I'll let you know.

Moneyball is a film I come back to every 6 months or so and I appreciate it more and more every time. A modern classic for sure.

Moneyball v Cool Runnings is like Papillon v Stir Crazy in a prison film section. Yeah one may be enjoyable enough, but a better film!? It's not even a contest.

Moneyball is an under appreciated masterpiece. Also... this segment would be much more successful if both of you have seen each film. The fact that you haven't seen Moneyball is a crime.

Moneyball is a really interesting film. Never quite sure what the message of it is supposed to be, though.

@@ct6852 Well it's a true story, so not sure a message comes into it. Maybe the little guy getting his moment in the sun despite people telling them they aren't good enough to have one. Could apply that to both films really.

for a podcast episode idea what if you dedicated one to a specific universe? an example being like an entire episode talking about the Alien films.. lore, designs, productions, your opinions, what you'd want in future films.. etc etc. Doesn't have to be that movie specifically.. but yea you get what i mean lol
