New parts, Still a good idea to buy a maintenance plan for the truck. They have them various plans and prices. Some ok with 20 yrs old truck and million miles. STILL, it's a better routes to go with a used unit

Yeah I'm definitely looking into some stuff like that and I'll have to do cost benefit analysis to see if it's worth it. Ideally I would like to get 9 to 12 months out of the truck and then I could trade it off and get something a little nicer

So for all of the aftermarket warranties I have found only go back 10 years. Since this truck is a 2008 I'm having trouble finding anybody that would cover it. Are you aware of any companies?

@@truckertoddllc seen a youtube video on the subject. Csnt remember which one. There are some, key word some, that offer that contract. It's more money but it's there. 12,500$ for a powertrain/exhaust 4 yr 400k plan is a steal on a used unit that may have 4 to 500k on it or more. Considering a new engine is around 26k and up, its foolish to go into business with a used truck without it. They take payments. Also there was a 2yr 200,000 for 6500$.

I have a question i`m considering purchasing volvo vnl 670 2008 just like yours and bring it to Europe but i need feew important dimensions that i cannot find anyware. I need the over all lenght of the truck from the front bumpper to the rear most part of the chassi and fron the center between the two axles to the rear most part of the chassi all the help is mutch appreciated thakns

I wouldn't have that information either. You would have to Google it. But I would suspect you could find a truck in Europe. Much cheaper than you could transport one there from here

I used to say Never landstar but I got talked to me the other day and convince me it's not a terrible deal. But for now I'm pretty happy here

Yeah the best part is that time is on my side. I don't have to put it to work this week or next week to survive. I can do some of the work during my home time and save up a super good nest egg for if I have any problems out on the road.
