After about 40 years of gun collecting I recently bought my first AK. It was a PSA GF4. The weather here has not been too good for shooting so I have only had the chance to put less than 100 rounds through it. I know I have a lot to learn about AK's so I look to videos like this one. watching 2 years later, just got mine also after 40 years, I am not crazy about them because Russian Ak is the first real gun I ever trained with in my few months in the Army when I was very young. I disliked them then and have never bought one since but now i decided to get one and then there are the inevitable accessories expense that goes with. This rifle round hits harder than the AR's and it gives some sort of satisfaction with the hits but then again so does the AR15, I don't know, maybe I am too old now to start liking it, so far in the gun I got from PSA which is a GF4 with foldable stock and voodoo furniture was 1k then the extras I am getting are already close to another 1k, and i have never wanting to expend that much in this platform because all that could be simple have gone to another AR which are lots of fun already, so there is no need for an AK47 for me but I said why not, and here we are. When i talk accessories I am including reloading dies set from Lee and the mold to cast lead bullets; I know AKs are built on those steel case ammo but I really do not like them and they are not exactly that inexpensive either so that is that. I am guessing and justifying to myself the expense as another way to built something new that is not an AR or an AR pistol. Hopefully will have as much fun as you were having here.

@@Gator69420 going great! they are kind of luxury firearm for me for some reason that is how I see it; it is not the same Russian AK47 I trained with over 40 years ago so I got all sort of parts for mine and it is really cool, ambi selector, fab rail to be able to mount the red dot or scope, commando folding stock and really nice trigger, so another 1k in parts not including the red dot and it is really cool

Don’t know, never shot one. This has been working great with around 500 rounds though it. No issues. Only mod was the adjustable gas piston

For removing the gas tube, when you lift up the lever keep an eye on how it’s rotating (you can see it in the gap between the tube and the sight block) when it is parallel/flat to the face of the tube, it will lift out without fuss 👍🏾

I’d suggest cleaning it after you finish using it for the day. You could potentially go a few hundred rounds before needing to clean. However, if you fire ANY corrosive ammo you must clean it immediately with hot water and lubrication.

Will do. That’s gonna be a good while though. I’ve watched several videos and never saw that happen. I’ve heard about it randomly. I watched all the ones that AKOU did and he had no issues at all. Could you upload a short video of how it’s broken, what’s broken and state how many rounds you have through it with it in the video? I’ve got over 500 without issue but it’s taking a while since ammo isn’t cheap and I’m not gonna just blast away more of my money for the sakes of a video.
