My First Attempt at Building a D.I.Y. Guitar Speaker Cabinet

In this video, I'm going to show you how to build a 1x12 cabinet. This is my first time buiding a speaker cabinet and applying tolex.
This is a great project for beginners who want to build their own speaker cabinet.
Of course I have to give my own touches.

Wow! An excellent effort for your first attempt! I love the color you've chosen and the copper jack plates are a nice touch! I too build custom guitar speaker cabs for my own use and friends. A couple things you might consider doing, especially when making small enclosures, is the open/semi open back design and also using blind nuts and machine screws to better secure the strap handles. The cabinet is like an cabinet, everything is normal. Only the speakers are not positioned symmetrically in the center inside the cab. There is a reason for this. Creating cabinets is a whole science.

If you got a handheld router, get the circle jig. Amazon sells them, it fits on the face of the router, you drill a pilot hole in your work piece for the pin. Works just like a protractor, simple fast and perfect circles.

WGS ET65…a great choice. Nice construction. It’s fun doing something for the first time. I tolexed an Amp cabinet having never done it before. It came out nice. Just have to think it out first. Nice jack plates!!👍👍👍

I want to build a 4x12 out of a mix of 12" 8 ohm that allows me to switch on and off the individiual speakers for different pairings any idea of what type of switches are up to this kind of task?

hola noe, tengo una duda si quiero construir un gabinete de bajo electrico con 4 parlantes de 30, deben ser pasivos o activos?? como debo conectarlos? en serie o paralelo y como conectarlos a un jack conector de 3.5mm o que salida debo darles para conectar el cable de mi ampli o pedal multiefectos??
