Hi Trucker Taf, I'm so glad I got see this video and witness the positivity that you bring to this industry. I've seen all the videos of old drivers dissuading people from becoming a HGV driver and all of the videos of trucking accidents and it put me in a negative, worried headspace but seeing videos by truckers like you and like LukeCinaHGV, that love their jobs, shows me that I could really end up enjoying the job (I want to be a HGV driver) if I adopt the right mindset. I was where you were about 8 months ago. Some will help, and some will watch you struggle. Just stay calm and don't be distracted by "Mr. Chief Class 1 driver" who thinks he knows everything. Just stick with what you have learnt. There is a lot of people in the industry who SERIOUSLY need to go back to school.

Well done on passing your LGV Class 1. I have over 30 years off Class 1 driving experience and the best advice I can give you about reversing is don't be rushed by anyone, take your time. The more time you spend doing reversing the easier it will get, it all comes with practice. If your unsure about a situation get out and have a look first and assess what needs to be done in your mind first. If you have a major blind spot try and find someone to help guide you in, They can keep you informed off what you can't see. Not always someone around to help but it's worth an ask.
