The honesty of admitting just how scared you were going in there for the first time, love it. So, so true, a fight in a pub just kicks off, no time to think about it really! When you have a fight coming up - it’s voluntary, you don’t really know what you’re going to be up against, and your mind just plays horrible, wicked tricks on you. I remember hoping the guy wouldn’t show up for my 1st fight 😂 He beat me on points. I’d only been training for 12 weeks and fought in a hotel, black tie show 🤵🏻♂️ I was top of the bill! Talk about being thrown in at the deep end! 😮 I just didn’t want to be embarrassed or let anyone down, but I recall feeling so nackered that I just wanted him to knock me out cold. You were a damned sight better than me, and thanks for sharing! He looked a lot heavier than you, but you won clearly for me. Sorry for all the shit you went through during that time. Going through very similar myself at the moment. Hard times don’t last, but sadly, they stay with you forever..😢 Top content as always 👍🏽

That’s what I call a war Joey, and great respect between both fighters. More entertaining than half the pro fights I’ve watched recently. Keep the great content coming.

This was a mini Gatti v Ward for sure, absolute war, good for you Joey. I remember after my first UWCB fight i got out of the ring after losing and saying to my mum i can't wait to do that again lol i also found i was so nervous on the night until i got punched then i relaxed. I've had 4 white collar fights, lost all 4 on points but loved every minute of them. My last fight was 2016 and still to this day at 45 i miss it and wish i had started boxing in my teens. Loving your content man and think you are an integral part of The Pain Game with the legend that is Brian. I am living vicariously through you so continue to smash everyone and achieve more than you could ever dream.

You can actually see him implement things like head movement and angle changes which he does today but the only difference is he does it much more slicker nowadays as he's more experienced but this goes to show Joey always had some natural ability and skill.

I’m having my first fight early next year and this has given me a real good insight on what I may be up against… Shitting it.
@krishkam186Ай бұрын
hahahaha, interesting to see you boxing as a beginner, just shows that everyone starts somehwere. Genuinely did look very much like 2 (albeit quite fit) corporate donnies getting in there and throwing windmills, what you'd expect out of the lower level white collar matches. I had my first amatuer fight about a year ago and hopefully one day I will get to see how shit I used to be. I'm sure I'll have a few losses by then :D. Side note: The guts you had to step in with a guy of that experience, respect;

Great British level amateur going into Pros- FIGHT.. War! This fight had more entertainment than most MISFITS/PROS can put on, obviously the skill level is not there BUT you guys were OBVIOUSLY throwing some skill out the window to see who can ENDURE i mean.. wow.
