My First FH5 ELI Project: Red Bramble Raceway Build Diary

The event lab island has been out for quite a while now and some creators have built absolutely incredible maps for it - here is my first project on ELI. The layout is heavily inspired by Gingerman Raceway, but the prop decoration takes everything in a whole new direction - enjoy!

Drove it yesterday and really liked it - and as I'm currently in the process of decorating a track myself at close to 90% prop budget, I can't wait to hide draw distance behind some trickery. 😅

Gingerman is my home track, I'm so happy to see that you brought it to FH5! lots of fun, it motivated me to replicate my IRL car and see if the lap times are similar. They're close, 1:39.5 IRL vs 1:34.2 FH5 (Focus RS). Thank you for your contribution to the community! Sorry our cornfields are boring :')

The only thing I dislike about the Event Lab apprpach is that it doesnt let you add REAL surface. Your track looks awesome and I will give it a go later on today but just imagine what you could do when having a full editor. Like they built Mexico and DLCs with. You could optimize it to the point where it would become a full pre-cooked version of a Mapchunk. This would be so much better than what we have right now. But anyways - loved warching this video and I hope to see more soon. :)

What's so good with fh5 is that there is something for almost everyone. Every player can find their own niche whether it's racing, creating in eventlab, carmeets or making liveries

The tree hack is genius! It's really annoying that the trees have such a short draw distance, as I would have loved to make some awesome rally stages but I found I had to disguise that drawing distance by putting in lots of chicanes or turns so you wouldn't be able to tell. Great work Hoki!

Well done Hoki! Excellent hack with the trees. I think Joh Cee may have done something similar with Farmlands. I didn't give it much thought at the time, but he told me he had handmade trees. I'm guessing for simlar reasons.

you could have mixed the real tree props in with the brambles and it would have been a more natural pop in atleast or had them behind the bramble trees so once you get close enough to see them theyre already popped in

Well I'm probably a bad person to ask because I already have a KZbin audience to share my projects with, but I'd suggest joining a discord community like the Fora Creators Guild where you can share your work around, ask for feedback/testers/etc

There are a handful of helpful Discord servers, with the FCG being one of the best: discord.com/invite/YJrdeA4Hcj Vukkuu, a well known event lab creator also made a great guide that covers some helpful tips: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mGiwiZKij52raKssi=4kKBz54_hJkWfuK9 Realistically though a lot of it just comes from practice and experience! Jump into the event lab and start messing around with it!
