Friends! Pleased to see this older one starting to gain traction. Unfortunately there’s a lot of sus and straight up false things emerging in this comment section. I actually considered turning them off for this video (for the first time ever). Instead, I’m just going to pin this sentiment. Do your own research via reputable sources on this topic and be cautious out there (and in here). As I’m typing this, it occurs to me that if you already have an ounce of common sense, this comment is meaningless, and if you don’t, it won’t get through to you anyway 😂. Much love!

My 1st heroic dose, I went in wanting to ask the universe for a sense of meaning & purpose. Among the feelings of being all knowing, came the fractured reflections of self ( trauma’s, flaws, strengths, etc) Then I found myself traveling through what felt like a wormhole. Then a woman-like face appeared on the side of the worm-hole. She spoke to me and said “You’re not ready” then disappeared. The 2nd experience, I’m going through the same worm-hole. And the identical woman-like face pops in. And all she did was look at me, smile, and disappear again… Haven’t done a 3rd heroic dose yet, but plan on it sometime in the near future.. -Side story: years before even experimenting with 🍄. One completely sober night, I went to sleep and had a lucid dream. I was outside of my body, looking at myself sleeping. I look around my room and look at the clock seeing that it was around 330am. Then a bright light shines through my window and fills my entire room. And two voices say, “Come with us if you would like to know the truth.” I started to move into the light, wanting to go. Then abruptly the light disappeared and I immediately woke up. After the initial wtf moment upon waking up, I looked at the clock and it was 3:33am. Which freaked me out and made me actually look out the window to see if there was anything out there… there wasn’t, but the experience felt so real.

I Could remember several years ago I was diagnosed with ADHD. Also suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my mom recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

I Hate that psilocybin gets grouped with drugs like cocaine and heroin. Mushrooms are a remedy, not a vice! I went on a micro dose treatment for a couple of months and within the first week, every sight of a cigarette got me questioning why I was doing all that to myself. It really works.

I love hearing about your experiences, you explain it very coherently and also express really well how hard it is to grasp the actual experience without having the experience. I don't think that reducing it down to neurochemistry invalidates what's happening, considering that anything a human can experience-sight, hearing, hunger, pain, emotions, memory-all comes down to neurochemistry at its core.
@THIRDEYEDROPS

Thank you! My 2 cents- Neurochemistry is surely involved in all of human experience , but there’s an explanatory gap between neurochemistry and qualia (what it’s like to directly experience subject reality). See my pods with Dr. Donald Hoffman and or Chalmers’ hard problem of consciousness TED talk if you want to dive deeper ✌️.

thank you for sharing this. this was so well said. i can never put words to the experience i had, other than speaking on the oscillating back and forth between deeeeeep deep sorrow and laughing hysterically at the joke of it all. i spent 6 hours face first in the dirt in the mountains of mexico surrounded by screaming goats, no music, very cold. it was more difficult for me than ayahuasca but honestly it kicked my ass as it needed to. it introduced me to a new way of thinking and living and i feel like i can finally begin life at 33. interested to hear your integration process...as the month following for me was VERY painful but the other side of it was the honey.

I'm so very happy for you, Psilocybin is absolutely amazing, the way it shows you things, the way it teaches you things. I can not believe our world and our people shows less interest about it's helpfulness to humanity. It's love. The mushrooms heals people by showing the truth, it would be so beneficial for so many people, especially politicians and the rich who have lost their way and every other persons out there.

Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Never addictive. Thank you for sharing this point!

Peanut butter definitely helps the medicine go down. But nothing, and I nean nothing, beats Reese's PB cups. The mushrooms almost have no flavour! And the awful texture isn't as rough as it is with just plain peanut butter. I find it helps smooth the nausea out as well. 10/10 shroom stealth tech!

Just came across your channel today... I have to say a lot of the times that i hear "check me out, i did sooo much drugz, like way more than you have ever done, cause i am sooo epic and amazing and cool and likeable and smart and important and..." well i think you can tell from how i phrased it what i think of a good majority of trip reports and tales. i mean good for you if you can handle "sooo much" and had "the most amazing and funny and unique and crazy and wacky experiences..." it is the hubris and self gloating that is on display that really makes it grotesque. Perhaps I am just a jealous hater, I know i am jealous of many things but i really don't know about this one... So i wanted to say that you were not like this at all! I did not sense any bragging or other things like that at all, just a clear and interesting presentation of what you experienced. Just a person who was sharing something that you went through that many of us will never get the chance to experience. What a refreshing way to have a take on things. If it is not clear here, i really liked your video here and the way you discussed everything i did not sense any of that nasty stuff mentioned above. I enjoyed listening to what you had to say and i learned a lot from it. I will be subscribing to your channel right after i press "comment" and i hope your other videos are similar in tone and quality. Cheers

Friend of mine came into town. We’re both in our early 40s. So we’re just coming out of our “heavy duty/responsible” faze. Had a bunch of mushrooms from a few years back. I purchased about a pound over the span of a year at that period. Have a good/responsible job so that kind of fun steady went by the wayside. Thus they sat in the freezer for years ( about a half oz) just waiting. He came home, haven’t seen him for years - a few beers and a stroll or two down memory lane - he says “where’s the shit at”? Once again - responsible now… No coke, no weed, some amphetamines. No X. Blah… adulthood = drug tests. I have some shrooms? He want to “micro dose”. I never been a piddle paddle guy so I said no. All or nothing. He keeps fucking around taking pinches. I take the bag - dump half in his hand and immediately inhale the other half out of the bag. He begrudgingly followed suit. I prided myself on being a “quantity slut” but MAN, did I fuck up! Hardest trip of my life! Awesome. I’m glad it was unintentional versus expected. Made the “ride” all the better! Friend kept yelling “what did you do to me man”! We made it through alright!

Someday soon, hopefully, I'll try Psylocybe properly. I've heard it's like a partial reboot and that it facilitates better neural connections. Didn't work on me when I was taking Sertraline (subsequently found out that there is a mutual cancelling out) and I'm not sure how many to consume, anyway. I'm a little frightened of doing it on my own, too. So, you know, I sometimes go for a wander about and if I find them I'll pick them and dry them. The maximum I'll take, in one go, is four*. I'm guessing that's nowhere near enough :). *Not when I was still taking the Sertraline, though. There was one night I just kept going, as nothing was happening, and I might have had about thirty. Probably still not enough! I'm glad other people are having more defined results. Some day it will be my turn.

I once took half an ounce lemon teched if you don't know what lemon tech is it basically makes it hit much stronger but the effects lasted shorter because of how much I took I had a bad trip for me it felt like everything was collapsing around me kind of like an apocalypse I felt like I was dying everything around me looked like it was breaking apart my walls were cracking I was hearing voices repeating the same word "destroy" over and over and then I saw this woman with a face I cannot describe she had a knife and was repeatedly stabbing me in every inch of my body I could feel it and see blood dripping from my body everything went dark and when I opened my eyes I was in a room with a clock and the clock was stuck at 7:00 I couldn't feel anything I was alone and empty I was rethinking all my life choices questioning what I did wrong I thought I was in hell and it was so lonely I thought that that was what hell was just a empty room alone with your thoughts and it felt like an eternity but then I shot up into the sky and found myself in a void with this white line in the distance in the middle of my field of view and it was all around me but when I was there I felt at peace I had finally come to the terms that I had "died" but I had no fear of that I felt pure bliss I was happy and stayed in that void for what felt like a thousand years with nothing but my thoughts and the white line that seemed like nothing and everything at the same time all I could do was think but I had a much more open conscious I could think about endless things at the same time I thought I had died and transcended to a higher being I never felt lonely or anxious in that void even though there was no one there it felt like a hug from your mother when you were a little kid it was comfortable and I never wanted it to end It started off terrible but in the end it was the best trip I've ever had nothing can replace the feeling of that void with the distant white line.

Next time you do this, try finding the octopus. The stellar rolling snake space will sometimes take the singular form of an octopus with innumerable arms and a Face like a squid / elephant. That thing is the most alarming shit I’ve encountered, because it’s like an amalgamation of what is at a particular density, like a hive mind singularity. It’s there, but otherwise hard to research online. A lot of people call it the dmt octopus, however I’ve read some shamanic information regarding this thing as an engineered alien consciousness that has a specific function. From what I witnessed, it was like a master program, like a demiurge. Makes me think of the garden of Eden incident and Prometheus / Cthulhu waking up and collapsing from a waveform into this architect being.

Woww.. thanks for this video. Many moments gave me tears. As if my body calls me to do this. I'm unsure what the right approach would be though. Im generally really open to psychedelics and handle them well but this is all on a recreationall level. I did mushrooms, 2cb, truffles, LSD, and a small dose of DMT, i believe 5mg? Which would be 1/10th of the breakthrough dose? Now i have a really strong feel that i need to do this, to figure out some stuff im working on personally. Can anyone advice me if i cant make this judgement myself, or would it be better to do a solo trip with a smaller dose than a hero dose before? Any advice is welcome. Thanks ❤

@@THIRDEYEDROPS dude, I'm in my mid 50's. I started doing shrooms at 15. Micro dot, blotter, window pane, Liquid LSD 100... I've tripped hundreds of times with, ungodly different amounts at a time. Shrooms were more of a vibe than visual . Sure, I got caught talking to a tree once...lol I just see so many people acting like it's DMT or something. It's some color, definitely tracers, close objects melting...but it's just not.that visual. I'm actually not trying to offend you, but real is real

For me I need to take at least five grams of shrooms to get any effect at all, then again I have had wonderful trips with ayahuasca. Something shrooms can't even begin to compare to; so although I like them especially when I use them with someone like my girlfriend, maybe shrooms just don't really impress me.

@soniatjames9440Actually, I have always grown my own shrooms but if I want to make ayahuasca I need to order the plant matter to do so. In my opinion, the only thing about shrooms better than ayahuasca is they don't taste like diarrhea.

Thanks for making this video. Your account closely mirrors a 4g trip I had recently. The trip was excruciatingly difficult for me, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Ended up bawling my eyes out a few times. I felt exhausted coming back down, but the brutal experience gave way to an incredibly beautiful existence and ineffable state of being that I can only wish for everyone to experience. I also echo your sentiment and intuition that psyche is all. It's within us, but we are also within it. I think a lot about the Zen idea that there is no "one or the other", but both things simultaneously. Consciousness and material reality are one in the same, and when you see that your eyes are really open. Life truly is magic. Many blessings to you, and congrats on your safe and informative journey, Michael. I love your channel, and the pod.

Your final take away - That humans are to use their intelligence to spread life around the cosmos! That is stunning. I have experienced it as a drive to evolve through love and light. That evolution is to... ? Who knows. The other thing I think of a lot, related in a way, is the quote from I think John the Baptist (I am not a Christian so may get this wrong) "the one who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; ". My meditation teacher also said this. I wonder if some of that is about HOW we choose to evolve based on our current state of consciousness.

Good that you recognise! It's heavy in meaning. For he said that about Christ. When John the Baptist was asked, on his take about previous followers now all following Him. Whether he was bitter about it, so to speak. John didn't say that about himself, and, my brother, I'd be wary if anyone told you that about himself. There's no taking credit relating to Ego in being a true believer. Instead, he pointed to the awe of God Himself. When I read the words of Christ Jesus, I realise I do not need any spritual teacher. It's all in Him. God bless you. ✝️☦️

One of my favorite things to do on a big dose (7g or more for me) is listening to music with headphones on and my eyes closed. Eventually you'll just be inside the best music video you've ever seen in your life, the visuals are in sync with the music, it sounds 10000x better than it normally does and the best part is that you can *feel* the music. I'll literally feel like i'm flying through space, my body and the universe are all the same, and it's twisting, bending and break dancing to the sound of music and it feels unimaginably amazing. Feels like a long lasting, full body/universe orgasm x1000 and the euphoria is off the motherfuckin' charts. It's unbelievable and I always try to imagine it, but when I manage to make it back there i'm reminded that it's soOoooo much better than you could ever possibly imagine.

"Is this where language came from in the first place?" Are we "dipping into...where archetypes live"? The subjective experience of taking hallucinogens would certainly suggest so. Problem is, this suggestion is only occurring to you within your brain, which is being explicitly affected by the hallucinogen. As fun as it may be to speculate, the superstition that's embroidered into these experiences is seriously misleading, and I'd argue harmful. Language, archetypes, and meaning in general are all human creations, and it's not the other way around. Archetypes live only in the imaginary space we provide for them. To be clear, more and more I'm swayed less and less by the apparent 'hard problem.' The only thing that's hard about it is that it's so forcefully apparent; but the thing is, _making things apparent_ is precisely what the brain does. The brain creates the appearance of reality; it makes our reality apparent to us, in spite of it not necessarily being so. Taking a perfectly imperfect environmental simulating machine (like our brain) and then altering it chemically can (and will) produce only one result: a convincingly altered simulation suggesting an altered nature for/of that brain's host environment. It's somewhat bleak to admit this, but the only "presence" in there is whatever we carry in. Who better to fool your perception of reality than your perception of reality itself? Welcome to existential absurdity. Hey, at least the coffee here is cheap.
@charwest5892

Language, arguably, came about when humans developed the Corpus Collosum. The part of the brain that merges the two hemispheres. As much as Terrance Mckenna did for science, the stoned ape theory is full of faults and holes. Could altered states have helped further expression, sure. But the root of this evolution is the social need to communicate and plan for the future, not because of getting high and seeing shit clearly.

@@charwest5892 There's nothing I could possibly disagree with in there. The brain, as an environmental simulation device, is built for making predictions about future states. It achieves this end through the recognition of patterns. In such a device, accuracy will be in demand. Getting high would be a diversion, not a development. [Input] inaccurate patterns→ [output] specious predictions. Whether its correlative or causative, language is an emergent property associated with an increased simulatory accuracy; at some point, by sheer comparison, we became aware of the existence of 'others' in this space. Eventually we were able to recognize them as being similar enough to ourselves that we might even, somehow, exchange our comparisons (patterns) with them. First, attention: what better way to get it than a shrill sound?

Any thought-form you experience is ultimately a construction of the mind but awareness itself can't possibly be. I agree that the brains job is to "make things apparent" but apparent to who/what?

@@isaacburrows8405 Perhaps I could've said "make things _seem_ apparent," but then you might move the goalpost to ask again, "but seem apparent to whom?" From this I will evade by admitting to you where the real hard problem of consciousness is, but first: a who is created by the seeming. Whether the seeming itself is real, certifiable consciousness remains debatable, if you ask me. The easy explanation is to assume that consciousness is naturally self-evident, and indeed, Descartes built an entire philosophy on this first principle, but in light of the several hundred years' worth of scientific inquiry since, and its complete failure to suggest anything non-material enough to continue to justify Dualistic thinking, I remain unconvinced by what the claim implies. Consciousness is only magical because we assume it to be so. Drop this assumption, and what "can't possibly be" suddenly changes.

@@pocket83squared What you're saying is like taking a photograph in a mirror of the camera itself and claiming there's no way to know if there was film in the camera because you can't see it in the photograph.

Great video! Captivating with superb editing. I really like your bit about Carl Jung at the end and how we are possibly going deeper into the psyche

What you said from about 19:05 to 20:12 was precisely the same thoughts and feelings I’ve been having recurrently for the last year or so. So nice to see others having this same sense and understanding, and articulating it so well. Hopefully we humans overall don’t lose our own mind’s integrated spiritual richness in quantum/digital reductionism before we are able to allow the functional tools we create from these specific approaches to actually aid us to spread the ‘real thing’ (the deep spirituality and love from Gaia and the intrinsic multiplicit beauty of interconnected organic Earth life).
