Very true, and that's why i continuously share that the 20 mayan days, are the same as the first 20 hexagrams of the I-Ching, and hexagrams 21 - 56 are the 36 decans. It is the blueprint for archetype city.

Definitely did not agree with this guys assessment about psychedelics!!! In regard to the need for an individual to need to have a guide in order to use them!!! Hogwash…the point of being alive is to think for yourself and to question authority the nanny state thinking is pervasive in everything we do, you need a license to fart these days!!! Big problem is people can’t recognize that the true nature of reality is you are alone to discover who you are. Guides might help but you can’t hide from yourself. Leary wasn’t irresponsible promoting LSD it’s not for the meak and if you are on a self discovery journey be prepared to be surprised by the nature of your mind. In the end you must embrace it no guide can help dum down the issue of you dealing with your own mind. Think for yourself question authority. You will strengthen your own character by dealing with your own spirits be they demons or angels! But stop relying on the nanny type phenomenon that you need a guide to your own mind. If you ain’t prepared for what lurks in there don’t do it

What in the Deepak Chopra is this?? Not only are near death experiences tied to the religion of the person, which in itself is evidence against their validity, but he's giving credence to a brain that is deprived of oxygen and fast collapsing and is now trying to make sense of it all once revived. This is boinkers.

Thanks for the reminder that the archetypal materialist reductionist knee-jerk skeptic guy I imagine in my head is actually a real person. Trust me, I get it- NDEs and non-ordinary states of consciousness are easy to straw-man as nothing more than a malfunctioning brain. But there are sophisticated arguments for all of the above made by people far more intelligent than you or I.
@wax996 сағат бұрын
@THIRDEYEDROPS Oh gosh, you actually advocate for this belief? And on top of that, your best retort is to just edify this caricature of me by using Petersonian language and to cry strawman? Really? Just how old are you? Naturalism, specifically philosophical naturalism, doesn't even have anything to do with my comment. I don't even subject to that idea! Are you so desperate to defend their belief that a single obvious critique pushed you over the edge? Imagine thinking that "smarter" people somehow lend credence to their pet beliefs....sheesh. By the gods, this is advanced pseudoscience, more than I would be willing to engage with. Keep their silly thoughts, by all means. I'm just glad this pseudoscience falls into the darker corners of KZbin and isn't pervasive.

Sometimes I see apparently random tiktok videos that relate to something I took a special mental note of during the day. For example, one day I sent a text message to a friend who I hadn't talked to in over a year and I come across a video day about initiating contact with a friend via text messaging. Another day I made pancakes for breakfast (first time in over a year) - that same day I came across a video about pancakes, over the last 5 years I've never gotten a random video in my feed about pancakes except the one time I decide to make them for breakfast. Neither of these are significant in themselves but when it happens so often, like several dozens of times over the past 6-8 months it's convinced me almost beyond doubt that there's "something" that's behind it. I don't claim to know what, but very much like Tom Matte, I get in this "zone" sometimes where I can see layered synchronicity in my reality - 100% real to me and inexplicable.

Because ancient wisdom is hardwired or largely emergent in the same way for everyone. All it takes is looking inward to find the same treasures as everyone else looking within.

At the 2 minute 30 mark you’re guest almost insists that you have to “unburden” to a male friend. I disagree and Jung himself also made this point. Sometimes the thing whatever the thing is in your mind can only be brought before God and not another human. Sometimes you have to go alone and that’s ok to and absolutely necessary

The difference between Plato and Aristotle reminds me of the roles of the brain hemispheres in the work of Ian Mcgilchrist. One concerned with big picture, one with detail.

The only right relationship to the natural world for humans is alignment with its greater wisdom. Bringing consciousness and intelligence into play to cooperate with it and evolve consciousness forward.

Atheists don’t get this; seeing the elemental as primary not only to the physical but to all of mind and reality.

Intelligence similar to consciousness being fundamental, human intelligence decreasing in the downward arc in the Precession of the Equinoxes, played a role in the external; matter being first perceived as primary reality; materialism was born. A view modern physics is now beginning to question.

The descent to the Dark Age started with Aristotle when, in contrast to Plato, focused on the external being primary to reality instead of the internal; consciousness and mind, being primary, and the relation to the Cosmos was also lost. It was the beginning of the study of the environment, of material science, but it resulted in the loss of the foundations of reality.
