Congratulations on your new home! I think your height will definitely give you an advantage when painting, you won't have to use a ladder so much. As an aside, take a few minutes to read the information on the paint cans. You would think that water based paint would be pretty innocuous but the chemicals in paint are surprising and dangerous. So, try to ventilate as much as possible and wear a mask. Serious stuff!
