career-wise, computer science is ideally a good choice; Lots of opportunities, and when it comes to salary it is also really good. well I'm not a Computer Science graduate but if given a chance to go to school again I would probably take this course 😁

incoming freshman here! my first choice has always been BS MedTech but my parents always convince me to take BSIT or any computer-related course. i always think na 'very impossible' na comp. course ang kukunin ko kasi i have literal na zero knowledge with computers, actually up until now although im taking STEM. i think the most i can do with a computer is make a PPT and that's it :D and then boom! there come a day i realized hindi talaga ako para sa medtech, for so many reasons, and how deeply fascinated and interested i am with BSCS. but i am wandering and medyo napanghihinaan ng loob bc hindi ko talaga alam kung saan at paano magsisimula. but TYSM for your vid ateee lumakas loob ko, goodluck pooo!! 💗

Since we're all lockdown, i suggest ate na gawa ka ng video na parang kay Team Lyqa. Her content serve as a reviewer to others that were planning to take entrance exams. So, kapag gumawa ka po ng videos just like Team Lyqa, it will really help us a lot and you also to be more productive even you're at home during lockdown. Hello👋 Comp Scie student here- mgssecond year this incoming sy. I remember when I'm still deciding what course to took. It was premed courses vs comp scie/ comp eng. Sobrang nahirapan ako noon kc dream ko mging doctor and at the same time Im also interested at technology. By comparing, mas naging interested ako sa CS kac mas money-friendly , time saver, and I really like how broad CS is, which means more career opportunities. This is just my opinion. Edit: CS focuses more on logic and problem solving than memorizing concepts which what I like on this course. Anyways, Nice vid ate❤, keep it up👍

@@imurfan9247 here is my university's CS-subjects based on prospectus 1st Year Major Subj: Intro to Computing, Fundamentals in Programming, Intermidiate Programming, Discrete Structure I, Calculus 2nd year Major Subj: Discrete Structure II, Data Structures, Object Oriented Programming 1 & 2, Operating system, prog languages, database management, design and analysis of algorithm 3rd year, there are a lot, I will not mention some: software engineering 1 & 2, web dev, automata theory, etc. 4th year - specialization Curriculum may vary from different schools. To make sure, you may ask for a copy of subjects/prospectus from the school you wish to enroll. Good luck on your CS journey👍

Hello! Finally found a small youtuber who's not awkward and cringy! And this is so informative! Im taking a gap year this s.y. and im planning to give up my medical field into technology. Im still exploring IT and CS sa internet kung ano ba talaga kukunin ko next year, nakaka migraine na nga kasi halos same talaga yung two. I actually know python, html and css because of a research project. May mentor kami na professional software engineer na talaga. I also joined a hackathon last year. Pero nagd-doubt pa rin ako if magco-comp sci ako since feeling ko hindi ako ganun kagaling as a problem solver. Im actually okay with math, it's the logical thinking na worried ako. Kaya ayun di ko pa rin alam if mag-co-comsci ako hahahaha. Pero if ever na ma-take ko 'to data science ang career path ko. Haha nice vid btw!

HAHAHA :)) I suck at math and logical thinking (mas magaling ako sa memorization) but I still took the course because nung SHS ako, I'm really interested in technology (kahit as in wala akong background) and inisip ko na lang na being interested is enough to take this degree and baka sakaling maging passion ko siya. Also, I want to challenge myself kasi if hahayaang ko takutin ko sarili ko na baka di ko kayanin dahil sa math at logical thinking, I'll never learn how to keep my heads up and to work hard for something I want. I don't know what the future holds but all I know is that if I keep studying hard and striving myself for improvement, I'd reach my goal and graduate. Goodluck and update me!

Back then, I was also deciding between BSCS and BSCpE, and at the end I chose CS, because it was less expensive, and has lesser units. It is really up to you if you really want to be a computer engineer or a computer scientist. CpE focuses more on hardware, while CS focuses more on software, In CS you can be a software engineer.

I passed in UPCA and mej kinabahan ako sa magiging college life ko kasi inadequate yung natutuhan ko sa EmTech namin nung SHS dahil sa pandemic (luckily may CS kaming electives nung JHS for 3 yrs). I want to be an Analyst sana (Data, Finance, Business) or Data Scientist. Kaso ang kukunin ko sa college ay BS Math kasi wala akong alam sa programming and wala akong sariling pc or laptop na matino. Pero this course parang priority sila sa mga gusto ko except Actuarial Science :[ should I consider transferring ba hahaha I will love naman the math side of this course.. not sure about the programming one.

Thank you po nakakagaan siya ng kalooban. I'll start my freshman year next-next week, and honestly, sobrang kinakabahan ako. Alam ko na 'yong basics ng c++, html, and nag-aadvance reading din ako sa java since sabi ng pinsan ko 'yon daw ang mas ginagamit sa work. Alam ko rin sa sarili ko na gusto ko talaga mag CS. Ang kaso, hindi ako ganoon kaconfident sa analytical skills ko. Hindi naman ako mahina sa math pero hindi rin ako ganoon kagaling. I'm so in love with technology, but there are still times na kinakain ako ng self-doubt lalo na ngayon.

Hi! Yeees, FEU-A ako :)) and omg parehas tayo ng pinag-iisipan. Dati I was so torn between IT-DA, IT-WMA, at CS kasi interested din ako sa multimedia arts at paggawa ng mga Website at Mobile Apps. I suggest na you research about Front End and Back End Development para malaman mo kung IT-WMA ka or CS ka. Nakatulong kasi ‘yun sakin HAHAHA Goodluck and kitakits! ❤️ Update mo ko :))
