Bro listen. Ever since I went to Rio last May...... Game changer. You validate everything i felt about Rio. I knew no Portuguese when I arrived in May. I stayed for 2 weeks and by the time I left back home I was speaking the language. I submerged myself in their culture, never went to Christ Redeemer or the other attractions, I actually went to 4-5 different favelas and met the true locals and got much more love there than the beaches. I went back December 2022 and will be going back in a month or 2

If you want a good place as a base and a place to get a swift head start on meeting people especially English speakers. There are 2 Hostels right across from each other, Impanema Hostel & More Hostel. They have cocktail hour every night and it’s a good place to meet people and pick up chicks. I had no problems with the ladies even with the language barrier. Rio was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced
