In Belgrade there is no uber but CarGo which is the same thing and also normal taxis which are not expensive but as elsewhere even here when they see a foreigner who does not know the place they try to cheat him, obviously not everyone does it.

The reason why you see different architectures next to each other in Belgrade, is not because Belgrade architects have no taste, but because it has been destroyed numerous times, by enemies as well as by western so called allies.

Thanks for your input! Yes! I find the architecture in Belgrade very fascinating and unique. in fact, the mix of the new and the old gives Belgrade an individual character
@Batlca
@Batlca 2 жыл бұрын
The reason you see different architecture is a timeline within itself showing the what Serbia went through throughout its history. You have Ottoman influence and Austrian influence clashing with each other.

Well, Serbian women are, as you noticed, well educated, emancipated, with good manners, fun and beautiful, and that makes it even easier for them to choose their partners. The great misconception of foreigners who come to Serbia is that our women can hardly wait to "rescue" them from these mental prisons in which they live. but this is not so - we are not a regressive society, nor ere we trapped in it. we are an old civilization and an open society with a good educational background and human as well, and despite the fact that our politicians are very bad, we live our lives and enjoy them. the fact that you are a foreigner in Serbia does not give you an advantage over Serbian women in relation to the choice of partner, here you have to be better than your competitors and that is not so easy. no pain no gain. and do not mix traditionalism with conservatism, respect for one's tradition and open society are not in conflict. all the best, enjoy belgrade and serbia. Best regards!

thanks for the wonderful comment on Belgrade. and being a foreigner doesn't make any difference to Serbian girls. I have to say they have got it all, intelligence, beauty and good values and traditions with an open mind to the future. .. no pain no gain.

@@infintiyexperience Well, thank you for recognizing that what I wrote was not criticism, but advice - I wanted to make it easier for you to understand the true state of the "situation on the ground" and to correct the approach, the ''tactics'' accordingly. Thank you for the beautiful videos you made about my city, I'm glad you came here and enjoyed it. Hope that your impressions are such that they attract you to come back here at least a few more times. I wish you many more adventures, just keep going. All the best man!

There are two rivers in Belgrade, Danube and Sava. Our food is influenced by Ottomans, Hungarians, Italians...The reason why our food is testy cannot be because of Ottoman influence but because ingrediencies are not GMO and we are quite traditional when it comes to that. We are not funs of industrial food production. Serbian version of Uber is CarGo. Check that. Underground is under construction and first line should be finished in 2027, I guess.

Thanks for your comment! Yes! That is make Serbia 🇷🇸 unique! They are proud of their culture and traditions and they are not affected by the western influences! I noticed there are alot of markets where farmers come and sell their own grown vegetables & fruits! The cheese 🧀 are magnificent not to mention the quality of bread! When I talked to people there, most of them said: they wouldn't choose any other countries to live in over Serbia! Great place and I am thinking to move in to Belgrade in the future.

as for the architecture you mention... a combination of modern and traditional... for your information, in the last 100 years, Belgrade has been bombed 44 times! in the NATO bombing in 1999, it was destroyed a lot, but it was also rebuilt a lot.

Belgrade is said to be the oldest city in Europe and it was destroyed so many times, some buildings remain from these times and others were rebuild. People are open and welcoming , but because of hard times and stigma from the world, the people changed and can be seen as hard.

Strange that for two weeks you haven't checked Ada and it's 8 km gravel beach, filled with great restaurants . Or Zemun, which is popular tourist spot. Or St.Sava temple and unique artistic experience which make people to buy airplane ticked just to see it. Or shopping and gastronomic experience along new Waterfront. Must be that you work too much. 😉

Your assessment of Belgrade is superficial and poor, you have no idea what this city has to show, do you really think that a city of 2 million inhabitants has nothing to show for more than a few days ... and you are terribly wrong with girls, they are all just not conservative .... You have to find someone local to show you everything nicely ....

@@infintiyexperience what do you mean by cheap? I live in USA but Belgrade in not cheap, if you eat pizza, fast food then yes or if you stay far away from center maybe you can fine cheap places to stay in hotels or to rent apartment. What is cheap for you can you explain, maybe we have different experience. Are you from Turkey?

@@tanjagak2097 Thanks for your comment Tanja! I compared the cost of living in belagrade from London prescriptive and other European countries I have visited. For example one month rent in belagrade in city centre costs me now 500 Dollars, if I would rent the flat in London, I would pay 2000 dollars. The food in the street market is 20% cheaper than the shops in belagrade. I usually like to cook and I rarely eat in restaurants.

@@infintiyexperience Belgrade is not cheap, you need around 2000 euros including the rent just to live comfortably. I have a lot of friends in Belgrade that have their own apartment but they are still struggling to pay bill , buy clothes, food etc. Belgrade is the capital of Serbia so naturally is more expensive than the rest of country. You can afford one month to live but try to stay longer and if you don’t have an income coming from somewhere else, it will be not be cheap at all, believe me
