STEVE YOU ARE NUTS WITH THE CONTENT RECENTLY been watching since the old karting videos like literally 10 years ago and proud to see you still at it and steadily growing, keep it up mate. I'm sure you'll get much further than this even also: If you ever happen to be in Austria and happen to have time, hmu mate - the car community here is nuts right now and I think you'd enjoy some bmw mountain road drifting shenanigans

Hi Steve, being an ex race mechanic myself I have to say I love all your real life racing stuff but unfortunately I’m I’m not into the sim racing side although I do understand why people love that too, maybe that’s just the old man in me lol. Keep up the racing, I know exactly what it’s like to race cars and the buzz you get from it, there’s nothing else like it, you will improve with Each race cheers Keith.

Took my kids (12 yr olds) karting, after watching one (too many) of your karting videos, at Blyton Park (Lincolnshire). I ended up having go myself as well. Couldn't believe how physical it is, the kids loved it, I scared myself stupid. Much respect for the speed you drive, it felt fast at the speed I was wobbling round at! 👍

5:10 4 seconds later I heard the checkpoint sound, when you went over the white line. It took me 10 seconds later to go. "Wait a second, this isn't in game." Went back in the video and listened again, went yeah, I think I hear it correctly. Am I going crazy, and hearing things, or do you guys hear it too?
@johnmcclaneftw132 жыл бұрын
@@Jwats96 I want to think it's a cheeky sound effect added. I think it IS just a sound the cart made. I can hear something that sounds like the sound in question a few other times.

This would make a killing in the US. Here in Philly racing is huge but there is no legal outlet for it. I can't believe that nobody has invested in a serious karting league here. There are electric indoor go-karts but that is not what I'm talking about, obviously. They are geared for family fun days and are heavy and underpowered. I'm talking about an actual yearly league for different age classes. I know people of all ages here would LOVE it. Oh well. Great video. Take care, -Eric 🏁

Steve, I implore you to come to the US and race in the Mazda MX-5 Cup, it pays out huge, the 10th place driver at the end of the season gets 50k, plus rookie finishing the highest gets 80k, and it's a springboard into all of Imsa racing, like the Porsche Carerra Cup and could catapult you into formula, indycar, or lots of other venues. You have a god given talent, and I would love to see you given the opportunity.

3:15 number 89 drives like he is about to get throw out the kart. While number 59 drives like he is in a motorcycle leaning into the corners. What is the correct way? While I was studying Mec Eng a couple of colleagues did a paper on kart chassis. because the karts have a locked "diff", the chassis structure is designed to twist in the corners so one of the wheel loses traction. How do you deal with that?
